This memoir provides not only an inspiring story, but two centuries worth of San Diego history. Highly recommend!

Just saw him attending a book club event. He’s 97 and kept asking me every 5 minutes what’s my name.

I was wondering if he was still active. Your story is kind of bittersweet. I had dinner at Jasmine’s Seafood earlier, and a waitress told me he sometimes dines there with his wife.

Have you visited the SD Chinese history museum on 4th? It’s the same building he was born in.

Very cool! I haven’t visited yet, but I plan on checking out several of the locations he mentioned in his memoir.
