Update Post 💚🌿UPDATE🌿Jenny (AVAS labeled extremely feral/fractious!) after a few days in rescue. This is how most cats are labeled at AVAS, (80% plus) kept from public view & blocked from rescue efforts! This is NOT a feral cat. 💚🌿

Jenny was labeled feral and shelter staff claimed she could not be handled. After difficult negotiations she was rescued and this what we see. Judge for yourself. Feral or friendly and adoptable? Ridiculous! Jenny is lovely and needs a family. Please share her. Thank you everyone who pledged to save her! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💚💚💚🌿

She is such a sweetheart ❤️ Breaks my heart to think about all the cats with so many different personalities that are misunderstood. 🥺

It is heartbreaking to know how many are put down because they are completely mislabeled. Millions! It’s tragic! 💔

Yes but we actually do rescue so many!😁 We had a 90% save rate at one point at Devore.

Oh wow, that’s amazing! ❤️ Yeah, you are right, I should focus on the positives that we are all achieving as a community. 🫂

What’s the save rate right now?

Not sure. We are working on many shelters so it’s hard to say but we aren’t losing as many as last year

I’m pleasantly shocked by that. That’s phenomenal work. So glad to be able to help out.
