Needs Rehoming 🐾 NYC RESCUE NEEDED

Hi, this is my first post so I hope I'm doing it right. This is Dirt the cat, she is an FIV+ community cat that had taken up residence around my backyard (there's a food station) when I noticed she had problems with her mouth. Since June 30th, and after several emails, she was taken in by the NYC community cats temporarily and they have taken care of all her medical needs. It's now up to me to find a foster/home as she's not a candidate to be re-released outside. I've lost count of how many rescues i've contacted but the ones that responded are full. I've never done this before so I'm just incredibly overwhelmed and feeling a deep sense of failure for her. I do not know how old she is. She's currently in Brooklyn, though I live in Staten Island and I can help transport her anywhere, sorry if this is wrong, I literally googled "foster homes for animals NYC" and was brought here.

Boost! Sounds like she needs to be an only cat?

As an FIV cat, she DOES NOT need to be the only cat in a household. I have had several FIV cats and they have all lived with my other non- FIV cats fine! FIV is not transmitted through eating from the same bowl or drinking from the same bowls. No special care needs to be taken regarding other cats! FELV is much more contagious!!

Thank you, I'm getting such mixed information, also that her quality of life is already severely diminished and should have just been put down! I read it can be transferred through deep bites, and she has no teeth (I believe, she's been in the care of a temp rescue, so I'm not sure to the extent of the surgery, but I know it was a lot).

Due to the FIV, I would assume so, although she has had mouth surgery, not totally sure to the extent of it, but several teeth were removed
