Needs Rehoming 🐾 NYC RESCUE NEEDED

Hi, this is my first post so I hope I'm doing it right. This is Dirt the cat, she is an FIV+ community cat that had taken up residence around my backyard (there's a food station) when I noticed she had problems with her mouth. Since June 30th, and after several emails, she was taken in by the NYC community cats temporarily and they have taken care of all her medical needs. It's now up to me to find a foster/home as she's not a candidate to be re-released outside. I've lost count of how many rescues i've contacted but the ones that responded are full. I've never done this before so I'm just incredibly overwhelmed and feeling a deep sense of failure for her. I do not know how old she is. She's currently in Brooklyn, though I live in Staten Island and I can help transport her anywhere, sorry if this is wrong, I literally googled "foster homes for animals NYC" and was brought here.

BOOST and good luck. Can you post on nextdoor and Brooklyn/nyc subs?

I should, thank you, there's so so many, and I'm crazy overwhelmed and a bit depressed that this is so difficult, can you direct me to any specifically you think could be successful? I'm sorry, thank you! I never really use Reddit regularly

I asked ChatGPT and here’s what it recommended for Reddit.

For Nextdoor you just make an account (if you don’t have one) and make a post and you can choose what neighborhoods to share it with I would share it with as wide an area of nyc as possible

Make sure to include as many details as possible and photos ❤️🐈❤️
