No, if you lose the pelt it ends up at the trapper.

Only if you were able to skin it and put it on your horse.

It goes to the trapper regardless of whether you skin it or not. I had one fall in the water and i was unable to skin it. Just rode away and it automatically went there.

I understand. Mine might have gone to him and I didn’t realize it but I was looking and I don’t think it did. Also I never got the parts for the fence which are more important for some of the trinkets. Like the buck one that ups the skin quality percentage or something.

Yeah thats an issue i ran into aswell but later on i somehow have the parts. Made no sense but ill take it i guess.
