Theory Looks like Jack started writing his book already in the epilouge of rdr1

How long it take you to beat the game? Curious cause I’m thinking of replaying it. It’s been a looooong time

u/scarxed Jun 12 '21
it honestly depends how much time you have and if your doing side missions , for me it took maybe 2 or 3 days ( no side missions ) during quarantine

I spent a good 3-4 weeks on the first red dead redemption. I tried going back after playing rdr2 but had a hard time with how dated the horse riding is

It did take a minute to get used to the horse riding, but they feel so much faster in 1 compared to 2

It helps that the map is less dense, flatter, and cut in half. RDR2 has a road that circumnavigates the whole map, but none that go straight through the middle, so riding on trails actually takes LONGER sometimes.

Especially if you have the war horse, you just gotta tap a every 3-4 seconds and you’ll be shooting around the map like a missile.

I've beaten RDR multiple times. I would say you can rush through it in one or two days with long sessions. RDR was the first game I ever 100% completed, for the cool Legend of the West costume. Only took me about 3 or 4 days from start to get to 100%, but a good 6 hours of that was spent doing the same bounty missions until I got the one i was missing.

If you do your game no longer works and you can never play it or any other version again forever.

why is that?

Because then the data stored on your S.S.D. or H.D.D. will get corrupted by D.E.E.Z.

u/TenTi23 Jun 12 '21
D.E.E.Z? What’s that?

u/ethnicallygay Jun 12 '21

It would make sense that Jack would have read Arthur's journal since John had it, right? So I would think that a lot of his book would include Arthur's writings. In that, I think that dlc based off of Jack's book would be pretty cool

What’s the second pic? Are those in game books? They look so modern...

couldn't it just be diaries/journals or even just him practicing his reading, writing, and spelling? I'm pretty sure the book in GTA is just an easter egg as well
nice little detail though
