A lake? In snow? It should be frozen. Maybe the light is indicating something to find? For instance the neanderthal guy? 👀

If lakes freeze anytime there is snow on the ground, explain why Lake Michigan doesn't freeze over.

Lake Michigan is way too big to freeze over completely. It would take like 100 years of constant subzero temperatures for that to happen

Michigan, like most of the great lakes, can mostly have its surface frozen, certainly enough to skate on. It's true the undercurrent doesn't freeze solid as it's too deep, but it'd take far less than 100 years for it to freeze completely solid

the more you know I guess. didnt think a lake that big could freeze solidly. Ive seen videos of Ice in the lake by Chicago, but it was chunks, not like a solid flat surface.
