depending on age, its really not. Having your own place is an important step of becoming a responsible adult. The learning experience of having to do everything yourself is invaluable.
Also important, but maybe not a Reddit problem, try dating in your late 20 or even early 30 when you dont have your own place. See what potential partners think about someone not having their own place.
Housing and rents have outpaced income growth for many decades and there's no sign of this changing. Also, you can still be responsible living with your parents, it's expected in many Asian cultures to take care of them and to contribute financially. With the way things are headed, I think Western culture will be forced to adapt this aspect of Asian culture.
Also how is dating important but simultaneously not a Reddit problem? The usual implication is that Redditors don't date and if you don't date you don't have to worry about meeting someone's standards. Standards seem to be getting higher and statistics show less people are dating then before, so it's arguable that dating itself is a luxury.

I really hope this is just a meme and not OPs real situation. If it is, lets hope they get the help they desperately need if this is even a question.
