I just started poe2 so I have nothing to steal but steam have the fear of my steam account being hacked

Highly doubt it's an actual data breach on GGG's side and not just another case of reused password/keylogger/compromised phone combo.
If there was a data breach of their databases they are required by NZ law to report such to the NZ government.

Steam has 2FA so unless you reuse your password often and your steam guard app/phone is compromised you are not at risk anyway.

There's no reason to believe it's a data breach yet. Snoo himself said in another thread his PoE password was reused. It very well could just be people targeting a new, very popular game with existing leaked credentials.

When they delayed 3.26 they said it would be coming out late January. So we should be seeing a teaser and date for the content reveal in a week or two.

How does the chiefrain -20 fire res while stationary work with fire trap - does it apply when you throw the trap or you have to stand also after it triggers.

And does it apply to RF?

I'm having hard time noticing ANY difference whatsoever, moving or not. While -20% resist should be a substantial impact, especially vs mobs with fire resist.

In monster health bar i sometimes see one with fire symbol that shows "-11%" - that doesn't fele right.

The fire res symbol is probably scorch, which would be useless if the enemy res is fixed to -20 already, I assume from Maven's boots ?

To answer your first question, imagine a situation against a boss with 50% res.

you stop moving, enemy res is now -20%, you start moving, enemy res is now back to 50%.

Now same but throw a trap, while you stand still to throw it, the enemy res is -20%, but the moment you start moving it goes back up to 50%. The trap detonates, and there will be burning ground for a while. If you're not moving, enemy res stays at -20, if you move it goes back to 50%, the enemy res at the time of explosion is inconsequential

Why is one of the crisis fragments 200ex and the other two are a quarter of that price? Is one citadel just way harder to find, or the boss much more dangerous?

Personally I think it's a combination of both. Uber Jamanra is harder than Uber Doryani and Uber Geonor, and so far I've only found a single Copper Citadel in my atlas, while I've found a lot of Stone Citadels and 2-3 Iron Citadels.

What are the best/necessary survivability stats for melees? I'm playing curse aura + hexblast, which means I stay very close to the enemies. Should I go for armor and evasion, or is stuff like energy shields enough?

Energy shield will be good, combined with grim feast (spirit ability) it makes you very tanky because your energy shield will overflow as you kill monsters so it goes up even higher. You can do evasion+energy shield or just energy shield, whichever is most convenient for your passive tree.

I haven't seriously played since Delve and I could use some help. I tried making a few of my own builds using my tried and true skills (heavy strike) and I got most of the way through story but got stuck around act 9. I decided to find a build with a new skill to see what I've missed and I saw a power siphon locus mines build. Really fun, and absolutely blasted content. I've made it all the way to tier 16 maps fairly easily (the farthest I have ever gotten.) With a few lucky item drops and some good trades I have basically everything I need for the build with only small improvements seemingly available. However I keep dying. I wish there was something that told me how because everything was smooth until now. I just tried to fight the eradicator and I couldn't get him below 3/4 without using up every portal. Each attack hit me to about 15% and I could hardly get a single mine throw off without getting shot. It's not just that fight. I tried doing t1 maps of Ultimatum and I could do maybe 60% of them. I like doing rituals but sometimes I get overwhelmed and enemies stop dying. I just wish I knew what I could do better. So please any advice would be great. Tell me I'm bad, offer gear ideas, build changes, anything. My goal is to beat shaper once in POE 1. Thank you.

Use eldritch embers/ichors to add eldritch implicits to your boots and body armor

Having this low Chaos res is dangerous for how little life you have, chaos bypasses ES.

Your belt revolves around boosting jewels you socket in it, but your jewels are absolutely awfull. Get something with ES/life/flat lightning/phasing on kill/resistance

Your shield and left ring are heinous

Get better rolls on your helmet, you can go from 13 to 21% inc life/ES and it should be cheap

Get a 6L, add awakened support gems

Open poeninja and look up similar builds to see what they are doing, I never played PS mine so I don't really know more of the specifics

I really appreciate the reply. I'm going to say some stuff but I don't want to sound like an ass. Most of the gear is there because of resists. If I don't have both those gems in the belt I have lower than 75% resist. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to get more chaos resistance if I already have two amethyst rings tbh. And I actually have the passive that makes some chaos damage not bypass es. I just don't know where to get more resistance from. I know about 6 link and awakened gems but there are no awakened on the market for either lightning damage or pen so kinda stuck there, and 6 link will happen eventually when I get more fusing. Helmet upgrade is a good idea, tbh I didn't even realiser I got a low roll. The embers, can they be used to over write themselves? I don't want to screw up my boots. The shield does really need to be replaced, the problem is it's got a tiny amount of fire res and without it I'm under cap. I've actually got backup gems that are quite good with life and added lightning but when I get so much a total of 72% resistance from one jewel it's hard to makeup for it anywhere else. I took alira for the 15% but it's hard to get resistances anywhere other than rings and jewels.

Is it possible to do 4th ascendancy carries with trialmaster ? Can the carries stay in the room under and just chill there until trial master is dead? ( Poe2) Also if anyone doesn't have 4th ascendancy unlocked and is willing to test this with me.

Hi .. in poe2 .. how can I properly target my minions with “pain offering” using a controller .. cuz i keep missing it even when i am directly facing the minion .. it doesn’t target it .. is there something in the options i am missing ???

They stack, and will add to 100%. In PoE, effects that are worded the same are additive.

Is there any effect of quality on wands? I did not spot any difference, and there is no info in popup hints either.

For caster weapons, quality on the weapon improves the quality on the spells the weapon provides.

This might be a stupid question but…

How do you walk and Incinerate with Mouse+Click movement?

When I switch over to WASD, it works fine and I am able to move with Incinerate channeling but not with Mouse+Click

Is there a setting that I need to enable or am I just doing it wrong …

From what I've tried, it doesn't work. Or you can start walking into a direction and then start using incinerate during that time, but not change direction.

That's the main reason I switched to WASD, otherwise I would have stayed with click to move. I hope they fix that.

definitely the least effort, but people also do chayula rotas these days. my experience is that they're slower but cheaper, and don't require specialized builds

Question on Ice Strike Monk Anoints

Which of these seems best as I'm trying to reach 50 % crit chance? I already have the major ones around the normal tree.

• Overwhelming Strike
  • 20% increased Critical Hit Chance for Attacks
  • 20% increased Critical Damage Bonus for Attack Damage
  • 20% increased Stun Buildup with Critical Hits
• Vulgar Methods
  • 10% reduced maximum Mana
  • +10 to Strength
  • 35% increased Critical Hit Chance
• Tainted Strike
  • 25% increased Critical Hit Chance for Attacks
  • 30% increased Magnitude of Non-Damaging Ailments you inflict with Critical Hits
• Stormcharged
  • 40% increased Elemental Damage if you've dealt a Critical Hit Recently
  • 20% increased Critical Hit Chance

I'm leaning towards Vulgar for that highest value and the Str/health. But Stormcharged looks like it might be more damage overall. I do have the crits-ignore-resistance ascendancy.

(Path of Exile 1) Hey all. On PS5, how do you bind skills to the L2+R2 slots? I figured out how to rearrange the bindings for regular, L2 and R2. A bit unintuitive, but figured it out. But I also have some skills that I won't use often (such as Raise Zombie), but need them bound. It looks like there are 8 slots bound to L2+R2 (simultaneous press), but I cant seem to figure out how to bind to there.

You can’t. They are reserved for league actions such as ending delirium or for placing explosives for expedition. I had the same question and was disappointed to find this out.

I thought I had been making good progress to astraments and ingenuity. I've been grinding chaos runs making 2 exalts per minute of time played.

Over the last 3 days I've casually made about 10 div, just to see the prices of these items have gone up 10 div, and I'm no closer to my goal 😞. Meanwhile my chest piece being less meta, has been devalued from 8 div to 4 div. Morior with stats and max hp on soul cores.

POE2 - Is there a way to know how many support gem sockets a unique with a skill will give you?

For example, Corpsewade grants lvl 4-20 Decompose based on the item level. Is there a way to know the skill level thresholds for providing more support sockets on Decompose?

Does the bonus weighting from Tier 5 rares stay after you id it, and apply to exalts too? I keep hitting T1 affixes when I slam T5 rares...
