Built this electric three string guitar awhile back. Found a license plate with my birth year, yea I am getting up there in age, and painted the neck red. Gotta have a red neck. Plugs in and plays well enough. Nex I think I am going to try to make a six string electric.

Hello all,
I’m a Newfoundlander who is living in the Netherlands. My husband and I are planning to move home to Newfoundland sometime in 2026. I’m tired of being so cramped up in the Netherlands.
My issue is that I just found out I’m expecting twins. I already have a son who is 2.5 years old.I know the government recently started 10$ a day daycare in Canada, but I heard the waitlists are quite long.
I can work remotely but my husband won’t be able to find work as easily in Newfoundland, so we are expecting a pay cut for him, but I assume he can do some remote/consulting work as well given our network. But I wonder if he needs to be a stay at home dad instead if daycare doesn’t work out.
So I wanted some advice for those who know what the waitlists are like. We’ve been looking at houses in areas like Holyrood and anything within about an hour from town. Is it feasible to get 3 kids in daycare or should I plan to have a stay at home dad?
Thanks for your help!
Edit: deleting some of the personal/ income info since some people are getting a little salty in the comments.
Really appreciate all the responses until now! It’s very helpful!! I hadn’t looked into daycare until now as my son would have been nearly school age at the time we planned to move, and I could have left him with family for the few months I would need daycare before he starts school. But with just finding out I have twins on the way, I need to start figuring this out. Thanks again for all the info!

It was off of the outer battery Rd. I think it was red in color and part of it was connected to the water via it's deck or something?
Always wanted to plan to go there and I just noticed it seems to be gone? Anyone have any details on it?

Hi everyone,
I'm looking to move away from St. John's sometime in the next year or so and was wondering what other cities persuaded people to move there? I grew up in St. John's and have enjoyed living here but I'm thinking it's time for a change of scenery.

Got off the ferry earlier today. This is one of three groups I had to stop for driving up to St. Anthony.

I have done some very light thinking about how we could benefit from reopening a railway system on the island, obviously it’s not something that’s going to happen in the near future, but what could the benefits or losses be?
Personally I thought of transportation of people, either for tourism or just normal use, getting to work, visiting family, etc. but also for trading and transport of goods, I.e. groceries or metals or whatever is needed. It would cost a bit but the revenue and opening to the rest of the country via bridge could be a big help with provincial income, possibly.
As I said this is light thinking and I’m wondering your opinion.

I don't know if anyone here as watched a full on professional Lacrosse game but it's really fun. The fans the music and imo really entertaining. Plus you get the physicality of hockey too.
I could see a team based from here playing in the National Lacross League. It's a big thing across Canada and would be nice to put more than a QMJ hockey team and concerts in that Mike One building.
What say you all?

Last years youth rugby championship in Halifax. Whatta I do? My nephew (my favorite rugby player) is playing for NS and I am a Newfoundlander. Newfoundland won the tournament so that’s good.

I have a visit memory of my day bringing me down the the St. John's harbor where we were allowed to enter a submarine that was docked there. What I do remember is seeing the portholes along the side where I could see underwater.
So with that information I know it's not a Navy submarine since I could look through port holes.
Anyone have this memory or possibly even having photographs of this submarine?

Hey all, I’m currently living in Toronto and i’m thinking about moving back home to Newfoundland. I want to become an aircraft pilot when I move down but i’m just wondering how the pay is for pilots down there?
if any former pilots feel comfortable sharing some info regarding salaries it would be great thanks!

Bought a gift certificate for my grandmother to get her nails done she wants them done for New Year’s, but apparently she has to send a deposit? She mostly uses cash and don’t have etransfer she don’t use the banking apps only her card. I tried to send for her and they said it was a scam. I tried refunding the gift certificate and was declined, ended up selling to one of my friends. Any places in this city my nan can get her nails done without having to send a deposit? Not looking for an uncertified place like in the malls. Thanks!

Hello , I am currently studying in computer systems technician program in Ontario and plan to move to Newfoundland after graduation. What is the scope of IT in Newfoundland and how easy is it to get an entry level job in this field? (Looking for positions such as Network Technician, IT Support , System administrator)

I've searched all over the place and can't find a rosary to save my life. Anyone know off hand for a bible store that's still open or a spot a man can pick up a rosary?
