Median voter: “I just think both candidates are neat!”

Tbf that’s the first debate in a while where both candidates didn’t come off as psycho’s and people probably just respond positively to that.

If anything it just exhibit 8,502 that Trump is a lead anchor around literally the entire republican party, and if they had any political sensibility at all they would have spent the last 4 years getting him the fuck away from them. For all the talk of Gen. Eric Dem beating Trump vs Biden, his Republican brother would sweep this election so hard we'd have to shut down the sub.

America is generally naturally right leaning

Why the republicans can't just like exist and win and instead try to get crazier and crazier everytime is absolutely the biggest ball drop I've ever seen in my life

They actively throw every election and then get mad about it

Eh 'naturally right leaning' is a relatively modern thing since the 80s. Barry Goldwater outright said america is naturally conservative in the 60s and everyone called him stupid

Still not good for Republicans when their VP's favorability didn't even get above 50%.

Vance has better favorables than Trump now?

I do think they seem like decent guys. My vote is already decided, definitely Harris/Walz. I know people don’t like flip-flopping but I can appreciate a willingness to change your position with new information. I appreciate Vance admitting that republicans have to earn back peoples trust. I appreciate him changing his position after Ohio voted differently than him on the abortion referendum. I don’t know if he’s sincere but I appreciate it. But it’s still Trump running for POTUS and I don’t appreciate him and ultimately don’t agree with republicans on the issues I care about most so no vote for Vance.
