Interestingly Vance clearly still has succ tendencies even after becoming a Republican, but his pitch doesn't really work at all when it's obvious that most of the rest of his party would light themselves on fire before actually signing any of those spending programs.

Watching vance talk is like watching the Green Goblin switching to Norman Osborne for a few seconds before going back

The New York Times podcast interviewing Vance‘s best friend from college is incredible - distinguishing just how brazen his jump into crazy-pants was after he turned power hungry. Sad cause it seemed like he used to actually be somewhat smart.
