Left-hand side: change in grocery prices over 3.5 years

Right-hand side: change in wages over ~12 months

Why on Earth would you make that comparison?

You're not dumb, it's just that part of you still expects people to not be deceptive (aka "have basic human decency"), and the data visualization exploits that. So you're just showing why it's working.
