I’m pretty sure most people wouldn’t support it if it actually went into effect but the idea that it sounds at all appealing is depressing.

Based on history, nah they'd support it. And then deny it after anything horrific happens.

Conservatives have done insidious work in demonizing immigration. They make it deliberately harder for legal immigration and for refugees seeking asylum. And they’re so inhumane and plain stupid on deportations. It’s fucking evil. I actually hated the border bill that Trump called to kill.
