Fan Art A dropship concept I made based on the ISA intruder since is one of my favorite sci-fi dropships ideas. Hope this is not a trouble for the reddit, if so I will understand!

Flak guns say, "Waiter, Waiter! More unprotected infantry please!"

Hahaha yeah. At least the smaller and very agile design will helps a little, but infantry is attached with belts and the ship can work with at least two motors to ensure a last resort landing without killing everybody

I always prefered ISA dropships and drones, this should be in the next Killzone game.(Yes i know the sad truth)

Thank you my friend, and yeah I know too. But one never know... this one is like if the Intruder were think as an actual military vehicle and not just a converted paltform haha

If this thing does the favor of actually using its mounted weapon, it would already be a huge improvement over the Intruder.

Indeed it does use the high caliber mounted weapon to protect the infantry it carries. Can deal easily with normal and heavy infantry, and even light vehicles. Along with being more durable than a intruder and can carry more soldiers.

Great, one thing that bothers me in the Killzone saga is that all the Intruders come equipped with miniguns but I don't remember any scene where they actually use them.

Same, they only used those miniguns in the gameplay section of the frozen oil rigs, but I never saw those miniguns laying on the platform in any cinematic. And only in Killzone 3 they used them just once. Is so weird because why would you have your infantry holding and shooting the miniguns with their hands and not just attach them in the intruder directly.

Nice, though methinks you should give it some seatbelts and a roof.

I always liked the roofless design, but yeah this one has some belts that attach on the soldiers back to prevent them falling. I just didn't draw them in the second one, and thank you!

This would be such a dope idea, what about the stinger from mercenaries or jet bike, since they're helghast creations, imagine a deployable attack ir sentry that follows from above and is essentially a larger drone that can be spotted by enemies so its balanced, i need to spawn an ATAC...

Thanks! since I never could play KZ mercenaries I'm not used to those vehicles shown in game F

A nice variation on the ISA dropship. Out of curiosity what would you say is this variant’s primary function and purpose?

Thank you! I would say this is more of a replacement, like if the Intruder were designed to be a military vehicle in the first place. This one is more durable, still very cheap to produce, has more infantry capability, and can defend the infantry it carries against other light or heavy infantry and even light vehicles

I never understood why the ISA didn’t invest on trying to improve their dropships with more protection for their soldiers so they don’t die before they even get to land.

Well the ISA was the poor and cheap army of the UCN for Vekta, just the national guard of the colony. I can see why they prefered to use a platform cargo ship as their main dropship by how cheap and easy to produce it was, but what I never understood was how the cruisers are so high tech and very armed but their dropships never got updated during the second extrasolar war. Like an update like this one I drew.

You based this on the automaton drop ship, didn't you?

Like the person below said. I based it on the ISA intruder ship, but the automaton dropship was another good inspiration too
