Heart to Heart Marketplace Indo Liar
gak ijo, Oren . semuanya liar. mau beli barang aja udh gak jelas asli palsunya.. jadi kebetulan lg mau belanja2 gadget (tws, sepatu , etc.) dan di marketplace ini beneran gak bisa dipercaya. semua pada berani bilang 100% original, walopun itu 100% palsu (dr harga sm review). emng segitunya kah orang jualan??? pedagang pasti alasannya: harga segini mana mungkin asli. (lah, gw Nemu di official store sepatu ORI beda 100rebu-an setelah diskon, sm yg palsu2), wtf. dan yg bikin syok lagi: vulgar nulis 100% ORI, ASLI, ETC. pas ditanya di diskusi jg jawab Asli. pdhl liat review banyak yg protes KL trnyta bukan asli. gw inget bbrp tahun lalu orang jualan barang KW masih rada 'sopan', bilang OEM lah, ACM, lah. tp skrng ini beneran udh 200% Nipu. sorry ranting, tp beneran udah rusak moral sm etika jualan di Indo. gak heran pejabat pada korup, rakyatnya jg sama aja. cm mau belanja hal simple aja kyk jalan di ladang ranjau. *support UMKM katanya,.. tp ya kl kyk gini caranya mending beli di official store aja. biarin lah memperkaya korporasi. gw bukan badan amal.

That's the current climate in marketplace everywhere around the world. Ebay is infamous for these fake products and still is one of the largest e-commerce platforms.
I'm fascinated with the local marketplace selling intangible products like cosmetics and fragrances. Some harder to find brands in Indonesia can be seen being sold on these platforms.
Personally I have an experience with a fragrance-free moisturizer intended for eczema. This brand was not available in Indonesia at that time and I had to source it from abroad. On one occasion I was low on cash but I ran out of the moisturizer, I need it due to my condition so I opted to buy on the orange platform. What came in the package was runny lotion instead of thick cream I usually use. Unsurprisingly the lotion didn't work. My skin was bright red, inflamed. Confronting the seller was useless. I told them every difference I could feel and see. They said they got it from a reliable source and can vouch for its authenticity. This store currently has 4.6 rating from 7k+ reviewers.
These intangible products like fragrance are tricky. A lot of people in Indonesia have never had the chance to sample the real smell and can only see the bottle as it was shown on the internet. Even my not-so-famous fragrance is available on both green and orange marketplace.
Out of curiosity I purchased a sample 1.5ml vial of my perfume, one I bought in an official physical boutique in Singapore. The store now has 4.8 rating from 19k+ reviewers must be good, eh? I got a small vial with different colored liquid and obviously cheap aroma. When confronted the seller said (copas):
"Ada banyak perbedaan dalam kemasan antara item miniatur yang dijual oleh merek dan sampel yang diberikan. Kami menjual sampel gratis."
"Anda tidak dapat membandingkan sampel yang diberikan sebagai hadiah dengan barang. Produk saya dipasok oleh distributor merek, jadi saya sarankan Anda membandingkannya secara langsung di konter merek"
While I basically have the real bottle right beside me. What even is the point if the brand gives out free samples different than the real product anyway? The entire idea is to entice customers to buy a full bottle based of the sample and you're telling me they are not the same?
Ever since then I have never bought anything that is not from Orange Mall Ori or Green Official Store. Even then I saw a post on r/indotech of Orange Mall Ori selling something obviously fake.
These unfortunate events really highlight the dishonesty of Indonesian sellers and it is disheartening to see how common these stories are.
