Meta I believe that subreddits that get adopted should be owned by the user who adopted the subreddits.
Is this a great idea?

If you're going to push New Reddit on everyone and remove features from Old Reddit, at least bring back the Random and Random NSFW buttons for New Reddit. You say they were low usage, but did you even stop to consider that some people liked these features? Part of the fun in going on Reddit was the random browsing and discovery of new interests and hobbies - that of which was a huge side effect of using these buttons. Now, you're just forcing everyone to stick to their Home or Popular feeds, which is incredibly short-sighted...
No wonder people are fed up with the bullshit and becoming vigilantes.

I see many ideas posted here. How (i.e. what is the process) are they escalated to Reddit's attention (other than being another discussion sub/forum of redditors)?

I obviously haven't been banned or I could not use this account to log in as it would constitute ban evasion. However, had I been banned, I'd reckon that having mere 250 characters to argue against a ban is as good as providing no appeal at all. How is one supposed to properly argue anything and to provide context with that little text? Even using shorthand for everything, 250 characters is laughable in terms of providing information.
I understand manual review could be hampered if there were unlimited space and someone had to read pages upon pages for each case, but... 250 characters?! This is YouTube DMCA counter claim levels of draconian and a metaphorical middle finger in the name of offering a mere formality instead of a chance at a proper appeal.
For reference, this post has 828 characters up to this exact point, and I can't believe someone in charge of reviewing appeals would be overwhelmed by a couple of small paragraphs. 1000 characters would be a minimum workable amount, with something around 4000 meaning an actual opportunity for an argument. 250 characters is just enough to maybe say something halfway that will make it seem whatever offense is the basis for the ban was even worse because any argument will be truncated to oblivion.

I've heard people say that if the admins spend to much time on this sub then they won't have time for their jobs. But just one should be fine right? I'm aware they do look at this sub every once in a while but you know...

i dont know where exactly is the best place to post this, but i have seen numerous people complain about each of these types of ads.
i realize that reddit has to make money, but considering their selling points for reddits ad platform: financial discussions happen on reddit - i dont think the extreme amount of gambling promotion is a good look.
on a similar note, community based influence and trust should mean that we are not forced to see the ads that go against our values - like the hegetsus ads.
the weakest point is probably about pharmaceutical ads, but at the same time pharmaceutical ads seem like a headache that is not worth dealing with.
if you read all that, enjoy this gif
thanks, bye

So like as the title says, when you open a post or something next to the comment search button there should be an imperial to metric converter/metric to imperial converter. I think this would be a great feature because it’s really annoying (I’m using mobile app) having to close reddit, open google, then try and remember the measurement. But if it was just a small menu that would drop down with a text box for the input and a drop-down menu for the measurement input and output.
I feel like it wouldn’t be too hard to make (obviously I’m not a dev so I’m not an expert) compared to something like a currency converter that would need live updates from the international currency exchange. And it would make it so much easier trying to figure out someone’s post.
Because reddit had a lot of imperial users and a lot of metric users, this would be a great way to prevent the possible hostility towards users of the other measurement system (normally people unfairly getting mad at Americans for using imperial).
Like if a post says something about someone being 6’6” and 250lb I have no idea if that person is overweight or just average without looking it up. Which obviously I can but it’s just a mild inconvenience that dissatisfies me when using reddit.

In a fast paced life, it would be nice to add a spelling check when you are about to post something!
AI spelling check?

I noticed a lot of different types of NSFW posts, and I found myself wanting to know in advance what to expect.
I suggest adding the following tags:
NSFW (Curse words)
NSFW (Violence)
NSFW (Accident)
NSFW (Blood)
NSFW (Seduction)
NSFW (Nudity)

Surprised this is not a feature yet. At least on mobile.

I'd like to see an extra sentence or two describing the logic that goes into the final decision of a suspension/ban. Also, a reinstatement countdown in hours instead of days would be quite helpful. After receiving a 3-day suspension recently, I was told that I'd violated Rule #2 (specifically, "Vote Manipulation"), and was sent a link to a random comment I'd made regarding how I felt about a family member. The inclusion of this logic would have greatly decreased the confusion I'd had.
I must second the notion expressed by others to bring back the free awards As an alternative to the previous free awards, a user could also watch advertisement videos in exchange for rewards points.
I'd like to see the capability of anonymous posting and commenting. This would negate the need for many people to have secondary "alt" accounts to post things they may not want connected to their main post and comment history. The name of the poster could show as either "Anonymous" or as a randomly generated alias known only to the admins and of course, the poster themselves.
Lastly, I'd like to thank the admins for making Reddit as enjoyable as it is and for taking my suggestions into consideration for the continued improvement of the platform.

in the case you are unaware, here's what a multi is:
r/news+politics+gaming+dataisbeautiful+damnthatsinteresting
it allows you to browse any group of subs as though you were subscribed to them
since r/random isn't a sub itself it doesn't work when it's added to a link..
https://reddit.com/r/news+politics+gaming+dataisbeautiful+damnthatsinteresting+random
And, what you'll see is the same thing.
Similar ideas for browsing random subs have been suggested before, but, specifically, I would like to see, not just the ability to add r/random to a multi, but to use it multiple times, e.g.
https://reddit.com/r/random+random+random would give me 3 different, random subs to browse every time I visit it.

Not much detail is needed but I think this would be a great addition to reddit. To prevent the community just voting out somebody they don’t like the final verdict will be up to admins. That’s all.

(Sorry for my bad English)
As you know, Reddit is blocked in Indonesia because the government can't force NSFW content filter from the national network. Can you make a feature where you can force filter NSFW content from a computer or a network? Like Google and Bing for example.
I think if Reddit implements that feature, Reddit will be a safe place for kids and will be unblocked from Indonesia.

I hate signing in and going to hot or top because of all the subs I follow, I only see posts from three or four subs. Is it like instagram where it just shows me what it thinks will keep me on the site longer? That's so lame if it is, I want to see posts from all the subs I follow. I hate that all these social media sites do this, it gives everything tunnel vision.

Hello all!
I think it would be cool if you could use the redd.it link shortening to go to different subreddits. Right now, you can type in the redd.it URL and it brings you to the homepage, but if you go to redd.it/r/ideasfortheadmins, it won't do anything. Likewise for redd.it/u/wvkid101. It's not the biggest thing in the world, but it would save a little bit of time going directly to a sub or a userpage if you know what URL to use.
