Reddit Premium What to do with Reddit Gold?

Reddit was kind enough to remind me that I've been awarded Gold and I need to do something with it before end of year.

I'm eligible for the Contributor Program, but it doesn't look like it's worth the effort of getting verified.

Is there anything I can do with Reddit Gold without going through the verification process?

Thanks all.

Hey hey! Just wanted to chime in about this. Gold and awards are different things. It sounds like you received a reminder PM about your free awards expiring soon. These free awards help reward and highlight content you appreciate. Unlike paid awards, they don't count towards the recipient potentially earning a payout.

When you go to award a piece of content, you should see the free awards. They'll be labeled as free.

These free awards will expire on December 31, 2024 at 11:59pm PT.

This is confusing because everything I'm finding says giving awards went away in September, and I no longer see the link below posts in old or new reddit to award them. Is it not possible to use them on the website version of reddit or something?

Awards came back about 7 months ago. If you're not seeing the option to award, you might be on an older version of our web platform. You'll need to be on our latest web platform for the best experience. Try using sh.reddit.com and let me know if you're seeing the award option now.

Ah yes I see it on that one, thank you. Knew about Old/New subdomains - didn't realize there was a Sh version too :)
