Admin Post Web and mobile performance degradation issues

Hey all - We're currently experiencing performance issues that could affect the overall user experience, including the ability to search on Reddit. Please note that access through TOR may also be impaired at this time.

We're actively working on trying to get the platform back up and running. Once I have more info, I'll be sure to update everyone here.

Thank you for your patience!

Update: It looks like things are starting to clear up. We're still investigating some issues on TOR, we'll continue to update this post as we get closer to an overall fix.

Hey folks - we've implemented some final fixes and we've marked this incident as resolved - we'll continue to monitor but everything should be working as expected. Thanks to those of you that reported!

Right, so who spilt coffee on the servers? Was it Opus?

But seriously, thanks for the update!

You're gonna have to decide who you're shifting the blame to then!

What's today? Why is it odd timing?

Thanksgiving for me, so family(Reddit) time 😂

I always forget that Canada and the U.S. both have Thanksgiving, but on different days.

Thanksgiving is a national holiday celebrated on various dates in October and November in the United States, Canada, Saint Lucia, Liberia, and unofficially in countries like Brazil, Germany and the Philippines. It is also observed in the Dutch town of Leiden and the Australian territory of Norfolk Island.

You've got a bit more studying to do before next year's test young man.

Hey! Sorry for the trouble - we're still working on resolving issues with TOR. For now I'd have to suggest using the regular website, but I'll continue to update here as things progress

Search still seems broken for me. It's turning up nothing newer that 24 hours ago.

Nope, the app still doesn't work for me. Tried deleting and reinstalling it - didn't help. However, on PC things seem to be fine. Explained the issues in more detail in a post, but it got removed automatically.

The problem I’m having is not a lot of the images are not loading while scrolling. If I click on the post, it will eventually load. Also a lot of videos are buffering very slowly. Checked everything on my end. It’s happening on cell internet and WiFi. Desktop and mobile.

Same, it's like browsing the internet on dialup back in the day. Except this has been going on for a month or more at this point.

Sometimes all the thumbnails are the same blue graphic too.

Is it just me, or did mobile mode just break? I haven't got desktop mode on right now, but Chrome's just suddenly lost the ability to display Reddit in mobile view. If I go to the site on incognito, it does mobile mode properly (even after logging in) so that's something.

edit: logging out and back in outside of incognito seems to have fixed it for the time being

I'm still having issues with the Android mobile app. Every time I leave the app, I find I'm logged out and get the notification "your request has been blocked due to a network policy" I've tried multiple service providers but it's still the same

Issue still persists on Chrome
