Does it make any difference if my account is labelled NSFW? NSFW
So my account got flagged as NSFW i couldn;t understand why as ive never posted anything that should be considered NSFW. that is until i realized i joined a cigar subreddit a while back and anything tobacco related has been labelled nswf. I deleted what few posts i had made on the topic and switched my account setting off NSFW. But now im wondering... does it even matter? Are there any downside to having you account labelled NSFW?

It will warn people that click on your profile.

It can matter depending on the subreddit. Some subreddits will remove your content and/or ban you for posting or commenting there with a nsfw account. There are not many, but some. Everything you post to your profile will be nsfw. It will exclude your profile from anyone with safe search on. Some people may look negatively up you

I actually wonder what criteria is used for that. My account is flagged but I don't do any porn stuff or anything of that nature. I think the only difference it makes is people can't see your profile without logging in. It will paywall you and wants you to use the mobile app if you try to view a NSFW profile as a guest.

Hey there! Your profile does not appear to have NSFW content, so I switched you back to SFW!

It doesn't really make much of a difference. It mostly means that people who are below the age of 18 can't see your profile.
