🤔 NeedAdvice Afraid of Failure

While preparing for a competitive job exam, which is in mid-February next year, I procrastinated and wasted many months. I have all the material with me, and knowing my potential, if I start from now also, I can get a good score. I am unemployed, so I have lots of time, but the issue is I am afraid of failure. What if cramming stuff won't help now? People who are preparing from months ago will obviously be better than me. I procrastinated, get depressed over, and didn't do anything all this time, what can I do now? From today, I got myself a good room, all materials, leaving all distractions, and studying nicely, but all of a sudden this fear came onto my mind, and I am thinking, What's the use to do this now, which is giving me the urge to procrastinate once again.

Edit:Thank you all for your kind words. I will give my best and not worry.

Don't think about anyone or anything!! Just think about yourself!! Believe that no matter what happens you will get selected and work accordingly!! Don't think about other people.. even air 1 doesn't know that he/she will get an air 1 right! Blindly believe that you will clear the examination if you study from now and study accordingly! Don't lose hope.

How u feel about failure to a great amount will impact ur life positively/negatively…..fear of losing usually leads to focusing on the outcome vs process lock tf in put ur phone away lock urself in a room nd do the work u know u need to do that u have been avoiding

People who fail a lot tend to succeed the most. I know it sounds dumb, but just recommit to studying. Don't worry about anyone else. Worry about improving your position for the exam.

Michael Phelps could have thrown in the towel after he got his DUI. But he re-committed to training, came back, and became the most decorated Olympian in history.

Maybe the key is to just start small and focus on today, not the whole exam. Cramming feels like a lot of pressure, but even steady, consistent study now can make a difference. Forget about what others are doing and focus on what you can do with the time you have left. It’s okay if things aren’t perfect. What matters is showing up and doing the work. Even small progress will help you feel more in control.
