Indonesia, there is an Indonesian flag on the building with green roof. Most likely this picture taken during world cup or Euro cup. Indonesian are very passionate about football. During those tournaments, flags from favourite teams would be anywhere in Indonesia. Netherland, Germany, Brazil, Argentina, England, Italy, Spain, etc.

this is Indonesia, West Sumatera to be exact. that black, red, and yellow colors are common but with vertical stripes. there are several variations with color order. But actually it's more like a banner, rather than a flag.

u/Bloxburgian1945 Nov 02 '24
I disagree. The pole has a bar under the top bar with the insulators which is found in Central Sulawesi, Gorontalo, and North Sulawesi. Also a lack of areca palms and only coconut palms is very weird for West Sumatra, while its very common in Sulawesi.

u/PattuX Nov 02 '24
Could it also be Maluku? There is a large fan base of the German national team there

Not impossible but unlikely with the Sulawesi bar. Will say North Maluku looks almost identical to Sulawesi palm spam in rural.

why would be that ratio in the photo unless someone couldn’t find that flag online and germany was just the next best option?

This marawa consists of three vertical charts that feature color black red and gold. Totally different.

u/jaabbb Nov 02 '24
This is not german smh. If you look closely, there’s a smaller flag on the right clearly indicates that this is Monaco.

u/jawa_ireng Nov 02 '24
it's tropical vegetation, it looks like Indonesia
8
u/jaabbb Nov 02 '24
Nah, you just bias cause you are from Jawa. The foliage appears to be southern than even far south German, says Munich. The distinct Monaco flag solidified my deduction

Is there any legend in monaco that hitler died there or something related to germany? Because there’s one in Indonesia. Some kind of conspiracy theory that hitler died in west java. Haha

I added a couple of locs where the coverage was taken around the WC haha Most will be in North Sulawesi cause they were driving there most during the WC but there are also some in Timor and Sumba haha This meta also works very well in Bangladesh where it’ll be mostly Chittagong and Dhaka ^

It's Belgium, you have to consider the wind. With wind you could mistake it for Germany ;)

u/BlueJayylmao Nov 02 '24
That might explain it: https://youtu.be/01CrU-JWEX4?si=ecr9vprPnvpBU0Lx
Funnily enough, molukke can be used as a slur for foreigners in germany which makes this documentaty even funnier lmao.

u/Ngetop Nov 02 '24
nah we just love football in indonesia, because our NT suck we support other nations in WC or Euro. in one neighbourhood some time you can see different houses raising their team like Germany, England, italy, Netherland and many more.

u/IndividualPeace8204 Nov 02 '24
It's from this alternate timeline where Germany actually managed to invade the Netherlands, and Indonesia never got its independence.

This is Indonesia, somewhere around Sulawesi and perhaps taken around World Cup period. I used to live in Sulawesi and saw flags of Argentina, Spain, etc all over the place during the World Cup.
Its in the local news: https://manado.tribunnews.com/amp/2022/11/15/dukung-argentina-dan-brasil-warga-manado-sulawesi-utara-jeffry-hompas-pasang-2-bendera-di-ruko

I have the Luxembourg flag outside my window. I live in UK. I've also seen someone in Edinburgh with the Dominican Republic flag on their window.
Very funny 😈

I once spawned up some Mediterranean looking environment and just saw “Privatweg” with literally nothing around. I assumed it was Mallorca but it was actually some Greek peninsula…
2
u/FraXility Nov 02 '24
Some people say that Mallorca is the 17th state of Germany, based on the number of Germans in vacation there.
1
u/FraXility Nov 02 '24
Must be Brasilien (at the Baltic Sea)

Jokes aside, location is presumeably Maluku with that metal pole and supports. Probably taken during WC or euro.

This is Germany 1000%, don't let the other flag, vegetation and architecture fool you.
