Idk you might be right, but it's pretty common for people to use rap and hip hop as a means to say racist shit, but still have plausible deniability because they technically never mentioned black people or black culture.
Whether he meant it like that or not, I think it's pretty understandable that that was Lewis' interpretation of his comments.

I gotta disagree with Lewis on him saying MBS' quote is about race. It's very likely more about class.
From his perspective he thinks that F1 is a rich person's sport only and rap is underneath them and only for the poor masses.
MBS is still a piece of shit though
