Yes but hardly because of today. Insane how hard people are pushing to make this Ricciardo's fault. Just a lap 1 racing incident with equal blame across all 3 involved.
I saw todays crash as just a racing incident, nothing more. But because it's Danny... it'll be made out to his career ending move. I doubt his team see it this way, but i think his time is ticking regardless. Plus, the hype around some of the rookie drivers entering the grid can't be easily dismissed in terms of the viewership for the sport.
Equal blame across all three involved. I would say that it's a racing incident, that was caused by a mistake on Ricciardos part. Sure Albon shouldn't have tried to go around the outside, but ricciardo shouldn't have been that far over. More ricciardos fault than anyone else.
Its not that I don't like Daniel, it's more that there are very capable people in the wings of f1 that deserve to have an opportunity, opportunity that is currently being taken up by some drivers who are past their time.
Disagree on the Ricciardo part. He was looking out on his left (Stroll, I think it was right?), then Albon snuck into a 2 car corner 3 abreast. For all Albon knew there was space, but Ricciardo would end up having to choose between squeezing one or the other.
As I said, its turn 1 chaos, with an unfortunate ending for two out of three involved.
