Looks like a poppy seed filling.

Poppy seed curd? It's a common filling in polish pastries. The dough looks more Asian though.

As a firm disliker of poppy seeds, a jam with them is one of my worst nightmares

I’ll be honest I glanced at this post and at first I thought the problem was that there was a bite in it already when you opened it, not that there was barely any filling

If you plant that singular poppyseed bite, you might be able to harvest poppyseed rolls in a few weeks.

I had the opposite experience with a poppyseed roll once. The bread was like 1mm thick, it was 95% seeds to the point where it fell apart the instant it was unwrapped. I wanted a nice tasty filling like usual, not just a literal pile of seeds! It was too much, just tasted nasty.
