This is great progress! What is your regimen like currently, and what have you learned that you think beginners should know?

I dont really have a regiment. My fast vary from 2 day to 5 day etc. stay focused and have faith in the process.

Agreed. I did a 12 day fast earlier this month and I plan to do a longer one starting on the 1st or 2nd. For those first 7 days, I was hungry a lot but it was moreso the feeling that I was missing out on eating and not just hungry. I basically treated those urges like a workout and once I got through day 7 it got a lot easier for me.

Like you said it really does come down to having faith in the process which is a round-about way of having faith in yourself to keep going.

When you were first starting, how did you push through those times when you are tempted to break the fast early or just eat something small?

And do you just do water with salt, or do you have a fancier thing to keep your electrolytes up? It seems like people do so many different things.

Amazing work! I’m in a similar boat. Weightloss and management has never felt easier.

Many issues and questions can be answered by reading through our wiki, especially the page on electrolytes. Concerns such as intense hunger, lightheadedness/dizziness, headaches, nausea/vomiting, weakness/lethargy/fatigue, low blood pressure/high blood pressure, muscle soreness/cramping, diarrhea/constipation, irritability, confusion, low heart rate/heart palpitations, numbness/tingling, and more while extended (24+ hours) fasting are often explained by electrolyte deficiency and resolved through PROPER electrolyte supplementation. Putting a tiny amount of salt in your water now and then is NOT proper supplementation.

Be sure to read our WIKI and especially the wiki page on ELECTROLYTES

Please also keep in mind the RULES when participating.

Fasting is the best. I talk about it often. There’s so many passionate pursuits I have in my life some I do relatively exceed at but fasting feels like the one thing I actually feel like I’m doing completely CORRECTLY and getting exactly the results I want out of it. It’s like a dream come true. I feel like a new person.
