Easy solution: a public vote either for or against abortions. Those who vote against are entered into a lottery, and are selected at random to become the parent of abandoned babies.

This, republicans are ALWAYS about self responsibility and taking accountability for their actions. So they shouldn’t have a problem about this system.

if we are being fair here they could have gone out of state any time during the pregnancy to get it aborted or at the very least put it up for adoption

Texas is actually trying to ban pregnant women from interstate travel currently. Also it would take about $100 worth of gas to leave Texas not including the $400 the abortion is going to cost and then the $100 of gas to get back to Texas. This is flawed logic and extremely privileged.

True it does contain the known universe

Republicans are trying to get a whistleblower law put out for out of state abortions, supposedly. So there's also that to consider.

True, you can leave Texas to get an abortion legally, for now. Republicans have been pushing against this though so for how long this stays as it is who knows.
