Obviously, but the point is about telling the truth and not dressing it up like a pig in a dress. Among other things, the problem is that this kind of delusional "Nuh-uh it was just one bad night" makes Democrats look fucking awful to moderates.
Trump may not be senile, but his brain is a can of worms anyway. He is much less mentally capable than Biden, even in his current state. The problem is: that doesn't matter.
Na, man. Look at Biden at the NATO press conference. He is very skilled and knowledgeable on the issues and has a mountain of experience.
Trump said at the debate when asked about climate policy "We had the best H2O!". And that is just one of a thousand examples where the talks completely idiotic dogshit. Remember that bit about Hannibal Lecter, where he seemed to think that he's an actual person? Or that bit with the motorboat and the shark?
Biden has issues, no doubt. He should withdraw his candidacy. But even a senile Biden is 1000% more capable than Trump, who's brain is just soup.
It doesn’t matter if he’s good 90% of the time if he has regular senile moments.Â
It absolutely matters. Biden is good 90% of the time, Trump is an evil, clueless lunatic 100% of the time.
And even if Biden would die in office, there would be a capable person to replace him and a team of professionals in the White House who will ensure things keep running. Compare that to the insane asylum of Trump. If you can't see that one is vastly superior to the other, I don't know what to tell you.
Trump is trying to ruin the country look up project 2025 and its connections to Trump. He’s trying to distance himself from it and say he knows nothing about it when he spoke about how great it was just a few months ago.
As old as he may be, Biden still has accomplished a lot of great things during his tenure as president. What's the alternative? The guy that openly supports tyrannical government overreach?
Maybe I'm wrong, but I believe no Democrat is popular enough, or I would have the time to build a strong enough base. We can try for the younger next election. For now, we need to make sure an evil wannabe oligarch doesn't get into office.
I'll take a dead rat over a guy that will put the final nail in the climate change coffin.
Not an age thing. My great grandmother was 97 or so and was sharp. Understood everything that was going on. Friend of my dads stepmother is 101 now, still sharp. My 80 year old grandfather is more progressive than Biden and much smarter. AGAIN sharp as a tack. Take a look at sanders. Trump is not senile... okay medically not senile and hes only a few years younger than Biden.
It's a biden thing, not an age thing. He should have retired in 2016 and lived out his life with his family. It's not like he is making any decisions.
Obviously I would want someone younger, but age isn't the issue here.
I’m curious what makes you say this. Did you watch his NATO speech tonight? Significantly different from the debate, much stronger, fluid thoughts. So he had a good night tonight, does that change your judgment? Or perhaps you would be negative about him regardless of his good and bad performances. By the way- he has been president for four years, and it has been markedly more peaceful compared to the four years of trump. Do you factor any of that into your judgement of him?
The one where he called Zelensky "President Putin"? Should we talk about how the moment he talked about how proud he was to have vice-president Trump on his side?
So he had a good night tonight, does that change your judgment?
It's not one bad night, it's a long-running stream of "bad nights" that keep getting reframed as just "One bad night". Putting aside that he still fucked up last night, it'll take a lot to come back from him almost literally drooling on the debate stage. We could talk about how his cabinet meetings are all effectively complete before they've even begun, since his aides go around scripting the questions and responses he'll get. Or we could talk about how the White House Residential Staff are kept at a distance from the president and only a close circle of aides interreact with them [unheard of in the White House], or we could talk about a bunch of other shit that makes him look senile as fuck.
