There's a park nearby where people have dumped muscovy ducks. Their population has gotten out of hand and there's maybe 100 around the pond. We managed to remove some hens (and ducklings) to be adopted to help slow down the population growth. I'm chilling with Priscilla right now before taking her to a friend who raises ducks. (Her muscovy is named Elvis.)

They love grass on their bellies and flower petals to snack on

Had no clue why they were butt biting and generally being feral. There was an empty blueberry carton that blew off the table and Beans was guarding it with her life.

Injured or Sick Domestic Duck My grey girl is WET

Woke up this AM to let my chickens out and noticed my blue Swedish in the pond w her geese pals happy as can be, but she is WET. As in the water isn’t beading off her feathers like it normally does. I know they have oil glands that basically make their feathers water resistant but that’s about as far as my knowledge goes. She’s never had an issue like this in the past and she’s about 6-7 months old. What can I do to help her??

Also this is my first time ever raising ducks so please be kind. I love them and do truly believe I provide and will continue to provide the best care that I can for them

We brought corn, peas and spinach for the locals today. The geese were super friendly.

Should I be concerned eveyone is saying that it’s just a sound the male duck makes but he or she is way to young to be making a difference nosie

Help with my Pekin Duck

So my Pekin duck is about a year and a half old and for about a week now she hasn’t been eating properly and I’m not sure why. Her eggs at first were soft and didn’t have solid shells but then she stopped laying. She started to develop bowed legs, I’m guessing cause she hasn’t been getting enough nutrients and I don’t know what to do. I’ve been trying to feed her other food and she was at first eating lettuce and peas but she slowed down her eating yesterday.
