Aww what a cutie. Are you allowed to raise and keep native species in NZ? Here in the states you need a license which makes it so hard esp for common species like mallards where we find babies all the time but no rehabbers, unfortunately.

No licenses required here! I was quite surprised when people asked me about this when I first posted him.

I think with super endangered natives like Kiwi you’re supposed to ring the Department of Conservation but these guys are fine
