Any other doomer gym rats?
I’m 19 and my whole life I never had any social life or friends, it takes a huge toll on my mental health. To cope I just lift heavy and eat all day. I thought having muscles would make me happy, but now I’m just buff and depressed.

I am doing the same thing, but I'm still skinny because I don't have enough money for enough protein.

I'm on and off same with Jiu-Jitsu. It doesn't always make me completely happy but it helps and it's something I genuinely enjoy.

I’m becoming a doomer gym rat and I welcome it. I take a lot of my negative thoughts and feelings and put it into pushing and pulling these heavy things. I treat it like a revenge body for countless things I cannot control and cannot go back and do differently. It’s satisfying if you keep it up for a long time. Looking good and kicking father time’s ass is a serious goal of mine, as pathetic and shallow as it sounds.

I feel you on that. The entire reason I started lifting and working out was me looking for a way to channel my negative thoughts and emotions into something positive. It’s a much better vice than drugs and substances.

Right here brother, been lifting on and off consistently (if that makes sense lol) for three years now. I love it and it is the only thing besides video games keeping me going.

Ever tried Full Body? I did and it changed the way my lifts worked all around, for the better of course

I focus on hypertrophy so I feel it’s best to focus on 2 or 3 muscles on any given day

Your overworking your muscles. I usually eat strong meals but 1 or 2 times a day. Drink a lot of water, Fresh Lemon juice and before sleep Ginger Tea and reduced the amount of sugar intake to 1 day a week.
When I lift I try to do a certain amount of sets but taking my time and not overworking myself. And then I let my muscles rest for 1 or 2 days. But if I do extensive amounts of reps like I've done once which was 100 each set. I take almost 5 to 6 days of rest.
I started doing exercise again 3 months ago and I've been losing ton of weight and feeling better physically and many times Mentally. Just eat more vegetables then Meat and you will be fine. But don't eliminate meat from your diet just reduced the amount you eat.

How are you going to tell someone they are overworking their muscles without any clue about their routine? You could lift everyday and not be overworking if you’re breaking things up correctly.

He's tired and constantly depressed. He's overworking himself physically and been a doomer escalates He's depressed state. Mind and body are one and He's mind is weak and he's tearing he's body destroying him even further.

How do you know my mind is weak? You have no idea what I’ve been through, and I’m still standing

Buff and depressed is better than not buff and depressed. It's even better than not buff and not depressed!
