Sharing My Template & Showing Off My Spread

Hello! 🤗 I recently finally got around to making myself a simple template that suited my desires and needs for my Notability iPad bujo, and I wanted to share it with y'all!

Canva Link: https://www.canva.com/design/DAGaYIlZ9k4/Kl4q8T425mAXKp06NGxn4g/edit?utm_content=DAGaYIlZ9k4&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link2&utm_source=sharebutton

Intent of Design: I mostly use my bujo as a planner with a side of cutesy doodle and sticker collage, and I really love to handwrite everything, including titles and numbers and such, for each month, and I love when things are versatile, and don't like to plan my whole year out in advance, SO:

I made some empty templates in an assortment of cute colors that are meant to be duplicated and rearranged as needed. I've found that having them all in one PDF file is the best way to make sure I can have any color "stationary" I might want in one single Notability notebook, since the app unfortunately does not allow users to change the template per page (which is annoying). Just download the PDF to your app, duplicate the colors of pages you want and stick the rest in the back for later (or delete em lol)

Attached are photos demonstrating what it might look like once filled out! If you might use it or you have feedback on it let me know >:3c To help me improve my design skillz

I would like to see more creative digital bujos🥲 sorry the lack of originality when it comes to layouts and themes is really killing me. I understand if it’s a preference but going digital gives you so much more range to bullet journal. I fully customized mine as a regular bujo (year in pixels, daily log, Song of the month, themes!, etc) and come here to see people uploading templates, no shade they are super cute! Please if you customize your own bujo please share what your layout and themes are through out 2025, I plan on sharing mine.

What do you use?

I been using Excel to track my habits, sleep, and mood. I send a pdf file to my psychiatrist so he can evaluate and adjust my meds accordingly. Curious, what do other people use?

I also have Zinnia, but I use it to journal my thoughts.

Not looking to change my method, just see how others do their thing.

best app for drawing and customization features for the price?

hello digibujo crew....

I'm a person who was really into physical bujo for a stretch of time, then fell off the wagon because I had trouble staying consistent. I recently got an ipad (after having been an android and PC user all my life) because I really wanted to have access to procreate for my drawing hobby, but want to make the most of my device and use it for bujo as well. for context, bujo for me is like an art project that also has practical use, so paper is great. but I'd love to be able to have the freedom of moving things around, having all my materials in one easy to carry item, and endless stickers and colors.

I'm confused about which app I should commit to, as I thought some of them were one-time prices but more recently many seem to have switched to subscription models. does anyone have some wisdom on which well-known or lesser known apps might be worth my time, even if they're subscription? my priorities are:

  • ability to change the template/page background freely
  • ability to upload premade templates
  • nice writing with apple pen, i want to be able to write all my notes no typing
  • intuitive drawing controls (huge plus if the UI feels like you're in a drawing program)
  • continuation of above, a feature where if you draw a line or square or circle and hold it, it snaps to the shape automatically (procreate does this), that would be incredible
  • ability to upload images into the page, to make digital stickers/collages (sticker packs are cute but I have a very picky eye for my aesthetics and like to use my own)
  • hyper-linking and functionality would be a big plus, but I'm not concerned with being able to search my handwriting or navitage endlessly around my journal
  • ability to have multiple separate journals in one app (at least three, but no limit would be cool)

PREFER either one time purchase or yearly subscription, I really hate the idea of a monthly subscription...

I've seen some people recommend just onenote and the notes app on ipad, too. people who use apps not meant for bujo, how is your experience?

Switching and would love some help

I normally use a bullet journal a5 notebook, honestly i have been hit and miss with committing to it. So i am great for a month and then it falls off a cliff. I thought since I have an iPad Pro and instead of buying another journal it may be good to spend the money on an Apple Pencil and a Paperlike screen protector.

I tend to keep my bullet journal very minimal but I do like having some aesthetic minimal designs as I can not create them myself. So the question is any great Digital Bulletin journal templates that work with Good Notes? What tips do you all use for your Apple Pencils, I use a .38 pen and would love for it to feel close to that. Thanks for all your thoughts!

Help

This is my first ever post on this website. I've never really even used reddit before but I've heard good things so... Hopefully this works... I want something that turns my android phone home screen into a bullet journal/planner. I wanna be able to edit without loading up the entire app, I wanna have multiple sections that are all visible all the time. I wanna be able to do what I do in my planner but on my phones home screen. Everything I find sucks. I have to go fully into the app to edit anything, there's minimal customization, there's limits to how much I can put on screen at a time, etc. Please, help!

ISO free generic OneNote digital bullet journal template

**UPDATE:

I just found this free digital planner from Happy Downloads with a OneNote option! There are also videos on importing into OneNote Desktop & iPad & more!!!

She has a 2024 and 2025 planner for free w/ various compatability with options for a monday or sunday week start:

https://www.happydownloads.net/free-digital-planner/

I really like the free iPad pdf template that Sarah Peterson has shared (add your email on her page to receive the download)... I know there are many other threads discussing how pdfs such as this are incompatible with One Note - when uploaded they become images of the pages, so they lose their hyperlinks and become less easy to navigate.

Has anyone created or found a similar template but that is more compatible with OneNote? I really like this one because it is customizable per year, has hyperlinks, and simple design with easy was to adapt it to be personalized.

Any concerns about privacy when putting very personal info in apps?

What do you all think? Are there any apps that guarantee privacy in some way?

Maybe, everything encrypted client-side and the app maker doesn't get a key. There are some lower level cloud systems like that.

Supernote can work completely offline, correct? I wonder if there's a way to prevent your written content from leaving the device.

Maybe the only solution is an open source app. I haven't seen any open source (iPad) apps that work with handwriting, though.

EDIT: The Lockbook app claims to do just this: open source, true privacy.

I don't think there's an iPad app suitable for Bujo. (?)

Digital Bujo options that work on iPhone, iPad, and windows?

Hi there! I’m looking to move my analog bujo to a digital format. I have an iPad Air with a pencil. And I have an iPhone. The snag I keep hitting is I have a windows computer. Not a Mac.

I’ve tried Goodnotes, which I like, but I need something that I can pull up on my computer as well.

Besides OneNote, what other apps work across both platforms?

For Diarium users: Do I need to buy Mac version of Diarium aside from iOS app I subscribed to?

hi, anyone here who uses Diarium in iOS? I got the subs but I couldn't sync it in my Mac and says I need to buy it one more time. same price for the iOS app. Maybe just technical issue or what? Do I really need to buy it again for Mac version?

Taking advantage of functionality in digital bujo?

Hey all!

I'm a long-time bullet journaler that up until now have been using physical journals, however I've recently been looking to move over to digital bullet journalling.

However, most posts I see on this sub are using a note taking app like GoodNotes or a design app like Canva. If I'm moving to digital, I'd really love to be able to take advantage of features like reminders, syncing with my calendar/other apps, etc... but these apps seem to be pretty purely design focused with no real functionality built in.

Of course theres other apps like Notion which seem better on the functionality side, but then I'd lose the ability to design my journals and make them look how I want.

Does anyone have any suggestions for how I could go about this?

Sharing Info online in the form of Journals

I've been wondering about the safety of spending so much time online, especially with all the digital crime happening. We've seen how even simple information from our social media can be misused. So, is it a good idea to record your whole life on apps, especially those new journaling ones that ask for your feelings and all sorts of data? I’m curious because I like trying new things, but this seems risky. What do you think?
