That's platform 24, Leipzig, Germany. It's the biggest train station by floor area in all of Europe.

360° Google Maps of this spot: https://maps.app.goo.gl/vC6vqrYSk7W4mYSz6

Background story of this platform by u/rewboss (5 minutes video): https://youtu.be/ztXJcDQ7c-Y

In a nutshell: It's a pure museum platform, where historic trains are displayed as eye candy to hide the parking spaces behind. The tracks of this platform end prematurely, and the buffer stop is before this point on the lower tracks. The elevated tracks are purely cosmetic to match the length of the other tracks, since the space is needed in the underground there.

The "fan made piece of crap" section are actual tracks, while "YouTube official trailer" are the fake tracks. But I don't know what the implications of this for the memes message are. 😅

I don't know what the implications for this meme are

The implication is that YT promotes trash fan made trailers, despite them being labeled "official", so when ppl click on them they get an experience analogous to being derailed.

Cuz the YT system promotes vids based solely on viewcount without any concern for quality or truth in the title.

I've meant the implications of how this background knowledge might influence the memes message (rephrased the sentence now).

If I think about it, it's coincidentally kinda fitting: The thumbnail is the cosmetic section and the actual video is the section with actual tracks.

How the fuck did you recognize which train station this is just by a picture of the tracks?
