Hello Everyone! I am staying in Shanghai and I planned to take a train in the Evening to Huangshan, sleep there (where?) and take a bus to the mountain and then back to Shanghai. It's winter, though! is it a good idea? do they have cable cars to the to the top without hiking for too much?

Im curious on what is chinese texting culture like? Most chinese people i text love to send short texts replies or only text when there is something planned or something on (mostly no small talks). Not sure if this experience is only me or majority of the people.

Hi guys, I'll be moving to Hong Kong for work soon but before I do I'm going to visit my girlfriend who currently lives in Shanghai whom I'll be joining in September once my university course in SJTU begins.

We just want to make sure that we're covering all our bases with our kitten who will hopefully be joining me on the flight to Shanghai (16hrs35minuted because of the cat 😢). He's going to be fully vaccinated on the 2nd of January, microchipped and given anti worm and flea treatment. The vet will also issue a passport so he can travel with me.

If anyone here is familiar with the process please let us know! We're very nervous about making sure that he can join us in Shanghai as we'll be living there for four years as I study and she works after September.

Hi I (17F) am in my first year of a levels. My parents are already pressuring me to research universities with my mom basically demanding that I study in china because she really really loves china. Nothing wrong with that but we've gotten into fights over my reluctancy over china unis, but this is because I'm an overseas Chinese who hasn't been exposed to mandarin regularly to keep up. I also heard from my friends that you need minimum HSK 4 to enroll in unis in china even if they teach in English. I am planning to do my degree in product or industrial design but am unable to find unis that teach in the medium English. I am able to speak in a conversational level but my writing and reading has always gotten me 零鸡蛋 (zero chicken egg). I don't mind studying in china. It's a wonderful country and I like the food but I'm scared I won't be able to cope if I enter and I have to write my thesis and papers in mandarin.

I live in the UK and I'm interested in political memrobilia and collect it. It's pretty easy to find images/pendants/pins/flags with Mao Zedong on them but pretty much impossible to find anything of Xi Jinping. I mostly use aliexpress and only after messaging a seller I found a tapestry although I got message banned for a month after ordering so I need help finding a site that sells Xi Jinping memrobilia and ships to the UK. Also they can come to your home and do the drug test. Is a big % here to be drug tested? I am not a big smoking person, but i would like to smoke a joint in Thailand. Do you know what tests they do?
