Advice New office cat needs a name!

Post image

No idea if it's a he or a she. Lives in the neighbourhood and comes in our office to chill during working hours.

Or a very human name, like Dave or Harper, like:
Dave got stuck behind the fridge again.
Harper couldn't keep off my desk, there's footprints all over my documents now.

Imagine the horrified looks before you clarify, it's a cat.

I definitely support this idea! My late cat had a normal human name that was a decently common name for human kids at the time... I cannot tell you how many people first assumed I was talking about a human child when I talked about him. Lol

And we just adopted a kitten and also named him a human name. He's barely been with us 3 months so far and someone has already asked me if I was talking about my son - so I had to hit 'em with the "well yes, but actually no."

We rescued 2 feline brothers. The shelter had already named them Douglas and Fur as in the beautiful Oregon Douglas Fir trees🌲 We opted to keep the names since they were humorous.

A: "Can you convince Dave to see a Therapist, he seems like a nice guy, but he clearly needs professional help."
B: "No, seems like normal behavior, and vet fees are pretty high right now"
A: "?!"

Gotta love Dave.
