Media & Entertainment 🍿🎶 Nttv, baddies, Zeus network young and reckless shows are very disturbing.
Today I randomly on YouTube ran into the whole Now that's tv and Zeus baddies west type of feed. I was very disturbed by what I saw and I was like whoa!!!! These women were so bad that today I'm like oh no let me go put on my dress and makeup and heels because these women were hurling the N word at each other, buffing up their chests like men and everything. I'm like omg wtf is going on here??? How is this even legal to allow being shown on tv or YouTube ? One girl yelled "F your baby to another girl" same girl kicked another girl square in her jaw and stomped someone's head into a bathtub, wig capped were shown still attached to heads and eyelashes missing. Like damn.. smh

I was a bad girl club tv show girl. But this new NOW and ZUES shit is too much and too ghetto. My lil sister is 23 and she convinced me (33) to check out some episodes of young and reckless and it’s a nah for me. I think with so much exposure to violence on social media now (no type of censorship) this is the new versions of bad girls club and jerry springer show.

It is the new version for sure, but why are these so much worse? I loved bad girls club, even if it was morally questionable, but these shows are just so much worse that I can't stomach them. Is it because it's a majority of black folks? Do I just hate that it's turning into "look at the ghetto black people" instead of "look at these universally bad women from all cultures"??
Or maybe it's just more violent, and the violence is more manufactured than organic and therefore leaving a bad taste in my mouth?
I just can't place it. Maybe it's all of the above.

I tried to watch one season of it but felt compelled to turn it off. Felt dark energy from the show.

I watched one of these shows for the first time the other day. I know I'm considered soft but all the fighting was kinda disturbing to me. I don't really understand what the goal of the show is, either. I kept asking if there was like, a cash prize or something?

I watched 2 seasons of Bad Girls Club as a teen (Natalie Nunn season and another one) because I thought it was hilarious then. I simply saw it as entertainment that no one took seriously
As an adult I realize how toxic and influential this type of crap is and how impressionable this is on young girls. Very worrisome. Hate this!

According to Ray Jay, on Netflix's “Everyone is in L.A.” TV show, he loves some “trashy content.” Is almost like he emulates Jerry Springer. He is getting big bag from it!

Never heard of any of this.
It took me years to figure out what "World Star" or "The first 48" were. LOL, women at work ask me about shows and I just tell them "I only know if Power and Empire. Oh, no, I don't watch them. I know of them."
What's those YouTube shorts Black Lady Sketch Show, though? I like those.

They’re so terrible 😭. All they do is fight and put a bad taste in your mouth. They’re not about anything but violence and BS

I do not care for those types of shows, I prefer to watch shows and movies which uplift Black women.
