☝️ AskBH Pipe fitting connector adapter 3/8” Female to 1/2” Male

Hey guys. I just moved into an apartment which unfortunately does not have a shattaf but has a bidet. The connection to water line is a 3/8” and shattafs have a 1/2” connection.

Can you guys recommend where I might be able to find a connector adaptor that’s 3/8” female to 1/2” male?

Thanks in advance 🥲

P.S checked Dragon City, Manazel and Anwar.

Job Postings and CVs

Hey folks. I don’t reside in Bahrain so I’m looking for some guidance regarding job postings. Where do local employers typically post jobs for local recruitment? Is there a country specific job board? How about job seekers? Is there an easily accessible database of resumes for those who reside in Bahrain and are seeking jobs? I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

Taxi/Careem from Airport to City at 2 am

Hi all, I'm planning a multi-day layover in Bahrain, but the only possible flight I can get lands at 1:30 a.m. The Airport hotel is rather expensive, so I'm looking at hotels in Manama. However, I'm wondering if it is possible to get to the city from the Airport around 2 a.m. (without getting ripped off). Uber/Careem is probably my best bet but are they still available at that time? Also, do you know if anyone has any indication of the cost of a drive to Manama at night? Thank you!

Since this is my first time visiting Bahrain I'm open to any other tips anyone might have. Like, how many days would you advise me to stay, do I have to rent a car/uber everywhere or can I walk/do tours? What are places I can't miss and what is food that I need to try? I'm a solo traveler and have visited 80+ countries while working remotely. I always try to go for a run in each country and I was planning to stay here for around 3 days before flying to Bangladesh. Thanks in advance for all the help! :)

Tourism in Bahrain?

Hello guys,

I live in Dubai and I'm thinking about visiting Bahrain for a few days for a change of scenery. Where's everyone going these days? Any exciting festivals or specific places to visit?

Security Clearance Defect on Sijilat

I've been trying to add a partner to my CR on sijilat. However, I keep encountering a "security clearance defect" (and no reason is given). I visited NPRA offices in Muharraq, Isa Town, and Manama multiple times. Each time, I was informed there is no issue with the partner or their passport and advised to check elsewhere.

I even hired MOIC approved service provider even they gave up.

Has anyone had this issue before, do you know anything I could do resolve this?

Payment Transaction Failed on Meta Business Suite

Hi, for those who are using Meta Business Suite to run advertisements, are you experiencing Payment Transaction Failed errors? Have all the banks in Bahrain blocked transactions for Meta? We contacted our bank, and they claimed that too many fraudulent transactions occurred. I also tried using a different bank, but the payment failed again. Please let me know if anyone else is facing this issue and what solutions you've tried.

Cost of living?

Hey! I'm comparing the costs of living in a few different countries on the Arabian Gulf, but it's fairly difficult to get accurate numbers. Does anyone want to give me a little cost breakdown of what they think they spend within their city?

I'm basically just looking for a generic overview of monthly expenses for a typical 2 bedroom apartment, with or without a roommate/partner.

I appreciate your guys' time soooo much. Thankyou and I hope everyone is doing well. 🖤

Can a bike replace car in Bahrain?

Hey all. I am planning to stay close to where I work (approx 2kms) - Is it better to buy a bike instead of buying a car? I mean, it looks extremely cheaper to buy a bike since my travel is just 4kms a day. I am not sure about the weather in bahrain all year(extreme summer vs winter vs rains). Please let me know the best option that you feel.

P.S - It is not that I cant afford a car. I just feel it is a colossal waste of money if a bike can help me in my daily commute as easily as a car.

Edit: I do not roam around much on weekends. I dont love to travel. I am staying alone.

Edit 2 : I am sorry for any confusion, when I say bike I mean a motorcylce- Like a yamaha or honda. And I have 10+ years of experience driving motrcycles back in India.

Volunteering?

I recently graduated from high school and will be starting college next summer. In the meantime, while working part-time, I’m eager to volunteer. Any suggestions for places I could help out, (Old age homes, animal shelters, etc.) Also, how do I go about getting in touch with these organizations?

This is really alarming. One life has been lost, yet the report say there’s no criminal suspicion in the case.

Sadly, in Bahrain, it often feels like the value of life depends on someone's race or ethnicity. Expats in the country face serious human rights challenges. I used to enjoy taking walks around this area in Juffair, but now I no longer feel safe.

I hope the Bahrain government, along with the Philippines embassy, will take action to resolve this case and bring justice for her death.

My condolences to those affected, and may the victim rest in peace.
