Modding I'm about to play in vr, advise?

I've played Alien Isolation nightmare mode on my ps4 but I just bought it on steam and I downloaded the vr mod and I just wanted some advice from others who have played it (p.s I'm experienced in vr games so I wont get motion sick)

Put your big boy pants on and enjoy. Still one of my favourite vr experiences to this day and I first used it with the dk1! Must be 10 years ago now

Don’t play in vr while drunk

I’ve tried multiple times but I always get motion sickness within a few minutes so any advice do share.

The main thing that is kind of troublesome is it doesn't have the range of movement that vr games do at all, so the camera can be throw out of whack if you move around a lot. They thought of this though, and anytime you notice it being weird, just press both bumpers of your controller to reset your aim/body :) enjoy the best way to play the game. Peeking around the corners with your own head is so intense. Scariest game ever, and I'm hopelessly addicted to it ever since I first finished it in vr. I just wish it had proper motion control support. It's perfect as is, but using the controller is alittle lame compared to other vr titles. Also you will probably need to turn off reflections in your settings to avoid weird lighting glitches later.

I'm playing rn on the valve index and one thing I noticed is that the controls are really weird for the index controllers, the biggest thing is that it has auto sprint which uncrouches me so I have to double tap the stick to walk and secondly the left joystick is both for moving around ui on a terminal or something at is also the interact button for terminals which is really annoying so I just switched to my xbox controller which is at least consistent

Ah man thats cool! I thought it was awesome on my quest 2 so I bet your visuals are awesome! I couldn't ever get motion controls to work worth a damn so I too used the controller. Still a 10/10 experience though. You're gonna love it!
