ADVICE 2024 used BMW - importance of CPO?

I am looking at buying a 2024 BMW 530i and found one with <5k miles, good carfax, and the options that I want at a local dealership. I have two questions as I consider closing the deal:

  1. The dealership is saying their first out the door price is the best they can do, no negotiating. Is that generally true? I am saving roughly $5k OTD vs a similar spec negotiated down OTD 2025 new vehicle.

  2. This car is not Certified Pre-Owned, but it’s one owner, no accidents, <5k miles. The dealership completed a 125 point inspection and sent it to me, and it all looks good. My question is, should I hire an independent 3rd party to do an inspection before purchasing? They are giving me the original factory warranty

Thank you!

I’d get the new one with the warranty, free service, etc. totally worth the extra $5k in my opinion along with the better resale value due to the newer year.
