ADVICE Need some advice on buying 2nd hand cars

Hello, I am looking to buy 2nd hand car, don’t really have any preference for make or model. I will just be using for office and running errands, likely 30 miles per day. My budget is around 18k and I need atleast below specifications 1) Car play 2) 5 seater 3) Heated car seats/steering wheel

I don’t have much guidance from anyone hence asking my question here. What all things are to be considered absolute red flags not limited to accident history? Any good suggestions? Does this below car look good?

Also which insurance will you suggest for anyone getting car for first time in Washington state?

You can add CarPlay to anything, don’t get hung up on such things.

That is barely a 5 seater car. Look for a Honda Accord or Toyota Camry. Stay away from BMW, Mercedes,Mini Cooper type of names service costs are high .

The car you linked is a BMWi3 electric car. It might have the REX range extender, I can't tell from the poorly documented ad. These are neat cars for use in the city, but are not well adapted for longer trips. I wouldn't recommend an electric car if you can't charge at home with a level 2 (220 / 240 volt) charger.

Have a look at Edmunds(dot)com for advice on buying used cars.

Consumer reports is still a good source for used car reviews.

Look for a Honda/Acura or Toyota/Lexus. Although finding a Lexus with a heated steering wheel is going to be fun.
