Academic Maymester Late Applications?

Does anyone have experience trying to apply to a Dornsife FLP Maymester past the deadline?
I applied to the ITAL Language and Culture one and sadly got waitlisted. I thought I would have been accepted, but now that I am waitlisted and will be a senior, I realized I should have applied to more. hey closed December 9th and decisions went out dec 17

Has anyone had experience trying to email and apply to maymester programs after the application has closed? Or any experience getting off the waitlist?

Check the other Maymester programs, some either do not have deadlines or the deadlines have not passed yet. There are still spots open in Maymester classses. Programs > Student Travel Abroad

Won't happen. If you don't fill out every form in the application by the deadline you're not going on it.

I did a maymester and chatted about the process with the professor and he said a lot of people got cut out of it because they missed a form which gave him some frustration at how it goes for students applying to sign up for maymesters(administration wouldn't budge a single inch and said all those who did the forms by the deadline were the only ones going)

Ah thanks for your insights I appreciate it. Yea looking back and reading others posts, I should’ve met with the prof so he knew who I was before applying & built that connection. But it’s okay, whatever is meant to be, will!
