ROI Specific Cheap Blood Tests Limerick

Hi all I was wondering if anyone knows a place I could get bloods done in Limerick preferably not too expensive. My GP isn't able to do them as I'm using Imago and their not based in Ireland.

Edit: I'll probably explain this badly but my understanding is that my GPs insurance doesn't allow them to collaborate with non irish healthcare providers. My GP has lots of other trans clients and was recommended to me for being trans positive and they've been emailing the NGS trying to get me an appointment so I can get my testosterone on my medical card. They've said that they can't do the blood tests as there isn't any reason they would be checking my testosterone levels other than for my transition.

That's not a good reason to deny you healthcare, you're entitled to access EU healthcare services. This is NGS fearmongering.

If you contact Outhouse, the LGBT Ireland helpline, Trans Harm Reduction or TENI they have the list of good GPs.

My GP was recommended to me by GOSHH as being trans positive and they have a lot of other trans patients.

A GP who refuses to provide simple healthcare like blood tests to trans people is not a trans positive GP, and you should ask GOSHH to stop recommending them.

Your GP doesn't need the NGS to do this, it's all up to him. Otherwise you'll be waiting 10+ years in the hope that the NGS will decide you're worthy of receiving healthcare.

What exactly did your GP say why are they not doing it? There is nothing that stops them from doing bloods for you other than their own preference.

Did you tell your GP you just need them to do bloods and that you have a GP (that is licensed in EU) that will interpret the results and prescribe treatment for you. Your GP does not need to act on the results.

If your GP is still uncooperative consider changing your GP (I know that can be difficult). People with uncooperative GPs usually get their bloods done at Randox or Doctor365 but I don't think either of those are available in Limerick.

That's sounds like NGS fearmongering, GPs regularly work with doctors from other countries and there's things like the Cross Border Directive that require that.
