Trans Am event at Road America
Hello there, I'm planning to go to my first ever Trans Am race weekend at Road America this summer. My main question is what the weekend schedule is usually like, I don't see anything posted on RA's website or on TA's website. Also any tips for a first-time fan at the track would be much appreciated.

Speaking as an experienced crew member for a TA car, the TA/SGT/XGT/GT race will be on either Saturday or Sunday with the TA2 race being on the day the other race isn’t. Trans Am usually doesn’t release the weekend schedule until closer to the race on their website. Also there will be 2 test sessions two days before the race, with official practice and qualifying the day before the race. While you are at the track you can get close to basically any of the cars as long as you are respectful of the teams while they’re working on the cars and the drivers are usually ok with seeing fans. If you’ve never been to Road America before, I suggest walking around the track to scoop out where you want to watch the race from because there are so many good places to see the cars from. Also I don’t know if the #2 Weaver Racing Dodge Challenger is going to be there yet, but the plan is to try to go to defend the win from last year. If we do go you are welcome to check the car out, and I can’t confirm yet who’s going to drive but it’ll probably be either Boris Said or Paul Menard. Lastly it should be a good show and since NASCAR isn’t racing that weekend at Road America the races should be live-streaming on YouTube.
