meeting people Looking to meet new People :)

Hi! 20F here, and I’m a third year student at THUAS. I’m looking to meet new people and make new friends. I love exploring the city, partying and having a good time with a group of like minded people.

A bit about me: - I love anything music, sports and gaming related, be it on online or irl. - I’m big on bars, cafes and clubs, but whatever you’re comfortable with :)) - I’m apart of the LBGT+ community too, and would love to meet others (Not limited to the community only tho)

If you’re in The Hague and looking for something similar, feel free to dm me! :))

meeting people Where to meet new ppl

Hi guys, I (30m) recently moved to the Hague and wondering what are the best ways to meet new people. I don’t have any friends that live in the Hague or nearby, so any help is appreciated!

A little about me: working fulltime as an electronics eng., I like doing team sports (football & basketball), gaming, clubbing and fresh new at skateboarding. I don’t smoke (yes, weed as well), if this matters to anyone. Other than the things I mentioned, I’d always love to enjoy good food or a couple drinks.

meeting people looking for friends :)

hi people from the hague! i'm a student (20f) from the hague and i'm down to meet new people to do fun stuff with, explore the city, visit cafe's, study together, go to out with (bars, techno) etc...

here's some more info about myself: i'm a second years student from international studies, love to visit cute shops, cafe's, museums, bars. but i also love looong walks through nature/city. i play the guitar and piano, like to be creative and read books about philosophy, race, culture, feminism and much more.

i'm not sure if this will reach many people, but hit me up if you wanna meet sometime :) mostly (international) students around the same age as me

EDIT: i'm not interested in meeting guys :p (i'm queer myself and connect better with women)

Hey, I’m new in the Hague (alredy a few months in) and I have some friends outside the office, but i’m quite shocked that I haven’t even seen any Turkish people around. Are there any online (wp groups or any other) communities that I can join and see where and when you guys organize meetups ?

meeting people Looking for a dog for playdates with our 9month old cockapoo

Post image
49 Upvotes

Hello the Hague! My boyfriend (Dutch, 29M) and I (Romanian, 25F) adopted a puppy from a shelter about four months back. Her name is Winnie and she is now roughly 9 months old. She is very sweet and does well with regards to her training, but she gets quite nervous around other dogs. Our theory is that she had some bad experiences in the shelter we got her from. She has never shown any aggression, and at times she is even quite interested in meeting other dogs, but overall they still scare the absolute life out her. We think that having her play off-leash with a calmer, older dog in a place that she is comfortable with might help her social skills along, but unfortunately, we don't really know anyone with a dog that fits the bill, so we thought we'd ask Reddit for help. What we are looking for someone who is willing to come over with their dog for a playdate, and have them hang out for a bit. In return we'd happily provide a nice lunch (we are both pretty decent chefs). Winnie tends to have a preference for smaller dogs, and it is not unimportant that any visiting dog is okay with a rather jumpy, excitable pup around. She is up to date on all of her vaccinations and does not have any health issues. For geographical reference, we live right across from the Malieveld in the city centre. It would be absolutely fantastic if you - or someone you might know - could help Winnie along with some exposure therapy. Please feel free to dm me, or post a comment below!

meeting people Looking for new girl-friends in Den Haag!

Edit: since i got alot of positive response I think that its good for now, thankyou to everybody who has shown interest, and hope for new good friendships to develop ❤️

Hiiii! I 25f and my friend also 25f are looking for girls between the age of 25-30 to start a group of fun and positive girls to make a deeper connection with! We both recently moved to Den Haag and we talked about how we really miss having a group of girls where we can do fun dates together, like drinking cocktails, being creative (she crochets and I draw), have girls nights, eating out together and just every wholesome girldate you can imagine. We are also very serious about our careers (both in IT but we love every ambitious girl)

If this sounds interesting, send me a PM and we can exchange numbers and instagram ✨️

We also both speak Dutch but are open to English speakers as well!

Hi everyone, I’m a 33M, generally calm, but now that I’m single and don’t know many people, I’d like to find a place where I can go alone on Saturday evenings (like tonight) and meet others around my age. Any ideas or recommendations? Open to anything!

meeting people SWAPFIETS SUBSCRIPTION URGENT HELP

Hi everybody!! I will start by saying that I know what I will be asking will be more of a long stretch but basically this is my last resort so here we go. Two months ago I contacted Swapfiets to ask if I could visit the Netherlands as a tourist by renting a bike from the Hague and then drop it off a week later in Groningen, where I will be visiting along with a buddy of mine some friends that are studying there. They messaged me back and told me everything should be ok so I started planning this bike trip through the wonderful country that is the Netherlands. I booked everything from plane to accommodation only to find out a couple of days ago when I subscribed to Swapfiets that a residence permit is compulsory, which was made known to me after the money was already transferred. They told me that they cannot give us the bikes without it so know we have a lot of villages that are quite hard to access without a proper means of transportation. They told us that the only way that would work was that someone else, who’s a resident, could sign off the papers on Wednesday morning. I know that this is hard for someone to accept, but we’re willing to buy some alcohol or weed to someone that can help us. I also know that my account doesnt have much activity, but that is due to the fact I rarely use the app, so this is a real desperate move for me:)) we also tried with Noord Bike Rental but there was the same problem with the permit. If you know other options that could work I would be so thankful. So yea, i know its a long stretch but I dont know what else to do. Thanks a bunch!

Portugueses em Haia onde estão?

Quero começar uma pequena comunidade aqui em Haia, com um grupo no WhatsApp e algumas actividades. Alguém sabe se já existe alguma comunidade do género? Se não, quem se quer juntar? 😄

meeting people Looking to make new friends

I've recently moved back to the Hague after some issues with housing in the city where I study. I'm currently taking classes online and am just living with my parents.

I know a couple people here but there aren't a lot of student associations for internationals from what I could find online, so I'm looking for people who are down to hang out together.

A little bit about myself, I'm 22M and used to live in the Hague for school before I moved out for university. I really enjoy going for a drink or going to festivals, but I also am down for more chill activities like grabbing a coffee or hitting up the library. I've also done bouldering a couple of times which was pretty fun. I'm pretty open minded so if there's a suggestion I'm usually down to try it. I was really into the techno scene at my old city, and it would also be fun to maybe go to pip with a group of people.

If this sounds like your vibe then send me a DM or write a comment on the post and let's arrange something 😀. Also if a lot of people reply I can also make a groupchat on WhatsApp.

meeting people Looking for Friends

Hello everyone!

I've been living in the Netherlands with my wife for the last 2.5 years. Being an introvert, making new friends has been a bit challenging. I have some issues with my lower back, so gym and sports clubs are not an option either.

I've been inspired by a Meetup group I attend called No Small Talk, where we dive into deep topics without the usual small talk. I'd love to try something similar on a more personal level by having one-on-one coffee meetings, and we can have one as soon as next Sunday. These meetings would focus exclusively on meaningful conversations.

If you're interested in exploring these deep questions and building friendships along the way, feel free to reach out. I'll share the topic beforehand so we can dive right in! Some example topics could include whether free will exists, the impact of technology on society, or the concept of happiness.

Looking forward to some great conversations and hopefully making new friends!

Edit 1: Please DM me if you are interested and I will share more details with you.

Edit 2: Thank you for the upvotes but if you're interested please drop a comment or DM me 😅

De groep is er gewoon voor iedereen en voor alle soorten contact. Mocht er nou interesse zijn, laat 't gerust weten hieronder of stuur een berichtje!

meeting people Meeting people through climbing/bouldering

Hi everyone,

I' ve seen a lot of people post on here about how/where to meet new friends in the Hague, and there was some talk a while ago about how joining a social indoor rock climbing/bouldering group could be a nice way to do that. So I decided to create one!

https://www.meetup.com/the-hague-social-bouldering/

My partner (31M, American) and I (32F, Dutch) haven't climbed much since moving to The Hague a few years ago, but have recently started up again, and figured it would be nice to do it with a crew, so feel free to join the meetup if interested. I'll make a recurring event on the page once we've figured out what would be the best time (I was thinking Wednesdays at 7 but am open to other times as well).

We exclusively boulder (never got around to getting the top rope certificate) and usually do problems in the 5b-6b range, but people of any skill level are welcome to join.

meeting people Co-working at Lola's

Hi everyone! I’m (23M) looking to meet people interested in casual co-working sessions over coffee at Lola’s (or elsewhere) in The Hague. I often work on my project, a website dedicated to saving honey bees, and would love to connect with other students or young professionals working on entrepreneurial projects.

I’m usually there a couple of days a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and would enjoy sharing the space with anyone working on a cool idea.

Feel free to DM me if you'd be interested!

meeting people M29 looking for tennisbuddy

Hi everyone,

A couple of months ago I started taking weekly tennis lessons. I really like it and want to play more often and get better at it, but no one in my social circles plays tennis. Would love to find someone to play with on a weekly basis, for an hour or two, and to have some drinks with afterwards. Hit me up if interested!
