practical questions Getting my drivers license any recommendations?

My experience so far is limited to the health declaration for which I ended up having to visit a practitioner in person even though that was completely useless, even the woman who answered the phone when I called the CBR agreed. But the law is the law.

As to be expected the medical visit was unpleasant, extremely overpriced and the practitioner was an hour late.

I would like to make sure that the next steps are more pleasant and less scammy. Any recommendations for the theory exam, driving school and final driving exam?

I would like to do an automatic license B.

I’m sorry but what’s up with this event? Literally supposed to be a fire to express joy but I get rather different sentiments from this poster…

Is this some sort of Wilders Jugend event?

things to do in The Hague Outdoor bouldering

I bouldered for the first time yesterday. In a gym. Loved it. I will soon return to The Hague area, and the monthly membership fee for boulderhals are beyond my budget. Are there outdoor bouldering events or groups in The Hague area? Are there any spots in The Hague area that has the kind of nature formation (rocks or gnarly big trees maybe?) to practice bouldering for free(ish) without going into a boulderhal?

housing Hi, my partner and I are looking to move to The Hague in a few years and are looking for advice, opinions etc

We're both 30, currently living in Scotland. My partner is a teacher and I'm looking to move into a not for profit business. I've always dreamed of moving out of Scotland and my partner grew up in Hong Kong, originally from England so she has the experience of living elsewhere. We have a young son (4 months old) and we wish to give him a similar experience to what she had growing up, albeit in different countries. There's nothing for us in Scotland anymore, the country is (in my eyes in decline). There's news articles every week about teachers being abused, her old flatmate was a teacher, physically abused by her students leaving her with PTSD. Education here is a joke and teachers are not supported.

I've spent weeks doing research on where we'd like to move to and have hopefully narrowed it down to The Hague. Given that is a hub for international expats, I think this would be a great opportunity for our child to grow up with people from different backgrounds and cultures to his own, give him a totally different perspective to the world. With The Hague having job opportunities with the ICC, save the children, WRI, I feel this would be a perfect opportunity for me to go work here and make a bigger impact on the world than what I currently do. There's international schools my partner can go work in. We're not massive party people, we like the odd drink, but we prefer good food and from what I've read the food scene here is relatively better and more cost effective than say Amsterdam. I've read (depending where you live) that it's not far from the coast and forested areas, which is more to our liking. It's not far from Amsterdam or Rotterdam for day trips, I've been to the former twice and while I'd love to live there, it's incredibly expensive and becomes a tourist hot spot and is a bit more lively than the quiet lifestyle we want.

With all that said, I have a few questions.

• How much would we need to live fairly comfortably, two adults, a child who would probably be 4 at the time and a dog

• With that last point, how difficult is it finding a place that accepts dogs? And on the same note, how hard is it finding a place in general?

• Any particular neighbourhoods that are recommended?

• Is there companies that help you emigrate over to Amsterdam?

• Recommendations on recruitment agencies for myself?

• What is school like for teachers?

• Anything you'd mention about The Hague that you might not find on Google?

practical questions Living in Hague with family

Hi guys! We are considering moving to Hague as a family of four. I'm looking for any advice how good is the quality of life and the healthcare? For example, how hard it to find a good pediatrician for kids? In general, are there some good options in healthcare?

practical questions Looking for experienced plumber or vloerverwarming specialist

I am looking for a experienced specialist for some trouble i have with my vloerverwarming (floor heating?).

First problem is a whistle in the system. Probably because of wrong connection so the connections need te be redone. Second is one zone in the livingroom isnt warming (and no return heat in the divider). Maybe some air but i cant get it out, or maybe something else? Unfortunately no more warrenty and we didnt pay enough attention in the beginning.

I know there are a lot of zzpers and not all are trustworthy. Anyone knows somebody reliable and experienced who can help me?

other Ring found at kerstmarkt

Hi Haagenaars, I found a ring on the ground at the kerstmarkt. It doesn't look like anything fancy or highly valuable (no stones and cheap metal etc...), but I can imagine it might have sentimental value. If you think it belongs to you or someone you know, get in touch!

Fijne feestdagen en gelukkig nieuwjaar!

Hey, I’m new in the Hague (alredy a few months in) and I have some friends outside the office, but i’m quite shocked that I haven’t even seen any Turkish people around. Are there any online (wp groups or any other) communities that I can join and see where and when you guys organize meetups ?

I’m looking for ideas for activities or events I could gift my wife for Christmas. Last year, I gave her a dance class, so this time, I’d like something different but still an experience in a similar vein.

practical questions Looking for used computers

Hello everyone! I am thinking of using an old computer as a server at home. Currently I have no old computer laying around, so I want to buy a used computer in an outlet store or 'kringloop'. Does anyone know of a store which offers such computers? I prefer a store where I can look around at multiple options.
