I thought Israel missile defense shot everything down?

Iron Dome shoots down rockets/missiles but not ballistic missiles, which these are. They do have Arrow to intercept ballistic missiles but it is much more limited and definitely can't deal with the sheer volume in this attack.

Hopefully Iron Beam will be helpful when it comes online within the next few years
