Gives the average person a good idea of the speeds we are talking about (Mach 5+) when talking about ballistic missiles in their terminal faze.
And hopefully a better idea of why ballistic missiles are a pain to intercept.
165 u/protekt0r Oct 02 '24 Yeah and the U.S. is testing Mach 10 air launched hypersonic missiles; even harder to detect and defeat. Weβre entering an era where a nuclear weapon can be launched and detonated in under ~5 minutes from a fighter or bomber in the middle of the ocean. Scary shit.
