Make politicians and rulers fight each other. Leave the rest of us out of it

THUNDER DOME

Two leaders enter; one leader leaves

I could get behind something like that

173

u/tinglep Oct 01 '24

MasterBlaster runs BarterTown!!!

39

u/GentlmanSkeleton Oct 01 '24

Say louder! So all can hear!

12

u/greevous00 Oct 01 '24

Lift embargo.

301

u/Skyzfallin Oct 01 '24

Let presidential elections be decided like this!

378

u/runrein10 Oct 01 '24

This is how we end up with president Camacho.

168

u/RearviewSpy Oct 01 '24

Our politics has already entered the WWE era, might as well toss the bastards a folding chair or two.

68

u/runrein10 Oct 01 '24

We should have known when crocs took off.

8

u/mistakemaker3000 Oct 01 '24

Tbf Mike Judge knew. Based on everything he's made, I'm pretty sure he's just a time travelling Observer.

2

u/Dabearzs Oct 02 '24

Not really just a observer if you make a whole ass movie on the future. emphasis on "Ass" movie

2

u/mistakemaker3000 Oct 02 '24

I'm talking an Observer from the show Fringe

2

u/ryanr_intl Oct 02 '24

A hardcore rules cage match

20

u/RagingNoper Oct 02 '24

President Camacho saved his nation by listening to the experts and building policy off that.

5

u/GordoBlue Oct 02 '24

Mountain Dew sponsorship is a must!

6

u/Poopiepants29 Oct 01 '24

Shit.. Shits fucked up..

2

u/HowAreWeNotInvited Oct 02 '24

Jon Jones might still have a term in him.

2

u/sachielnagisa Oct 02 '24

Please address him by his full name Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho

6

u/cyanideluvskush Oct 01 '24

men would win each time!

11

u/feltusen Oct 01 '24

Fairly certain kamela would beat Trump. Just jog around and he cant breathe anymore

-4

u/cyanideluvskush Oct 01 '24

doubt it he'd slam her by the p***y

3

u/ShoddyTerm4385 Oct 01 '24

I thought this was funny

4

u/feltusen Oct 01 '24

He would lose. Guy cant finish a walk without taking a breather

-1

u/Archercrash Oct 01 '24

Motherfucker can't even drink a glass of water without using two hands. Kamala would kick his ass.

2

u/JackCooper_7274 Oct 01 '24

Is that much different than our current elections?

2

u/asillynert Oct 01 '24

Nah current US 80yr old with dementia she could bring up sharks. And he would go on 20 minute rant about shark battery's providing her with ample opportunity to brain him over back of head.

That or drag it out jog ahead of him while he is winded. Once his heart meds from 60yrs of non stop big macs and being overweight start wearing off. And his blood sugar drops from lack of coke cola he would probrably kill over with minimal prodding.

2

u/12altoids34 Oct 01 '24

Trump is 78 years old, needs two hands to drink a glass of water and needs help to walk down a ramp. Ronda Rousey could be our next president.

2

u/Ok-Loss2254 Oct 02 '24

That would make it a bit more interesting. Plus wagers can be put in. Kinda makes me feel in America the parties would be forced to get younger people rather then the ancient crones the keep trying to force on us.

2

u/zxc123zxc123 Oct 01 '24

I rather not have it decide our elections.

But if it's just for charity or any other reason?

Then I don't know how much I'd pay to watch Trump go into the Octagon with Walz or Kamala. Minimum 5figs if I'm paying for tickets. Heck, I'd pay 5figs to fight Trump myself if that was what Trump wants.

3

u/DarkQuasar Oct 01 '24

Real life president Camacho incoming!

3

u/letsgetcool Oct 01 '24

THUNDER DOME

probably works better than iron dome lol

2

u/Trandoshan-Tickler Oct 01 '24

When two tribes go to war A point is all that you can score

2

u/CuriousCryptid444 Oct 01 '24

I believe this used to be a thing. At least it was in the movie Troy. Let’s send Brad Pitt to fight on behalf of America

2

u/gimmethelulz Oct 01 '24

Hell I'd pay to watch that.

2

u/Imn0tg0d Oct 01 '24

Celebrity death match!

2

u/Bumbahkah Oct 01 '24

Is that gonna on pay per view?

2

u/lod254 Oct 01 '24

Finally we'll have President Camacho.

2

u/DBAC_Rex Oct 01 '24

And then don’t let them leave anyway ifyaknowwhatamesnandithinkyoudo

2

u/SlamKrank Oct 01 '24

Do you want President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho? Because that's how you get President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho

2

u/pxanderbear Oct 01 '24

Would love a celebrity death match reboot with the past few presidential candidates

2

u/Umutuku Oct 02 '24

Two leaders who want everyone else to die for their own personal gain enter.

One leader survives and has to stay in the dome waiting for the next one who thinks everyone else should die for their own personal gain.

Like a reverse Hunger Games. You identify the ones trying to gorge themselves on everyone else's food and drop them into the battle-royale hole.

2

u/Glittering_Hawk3143 Oct 02 '24

That's how you get President Camacho.

2

u/Iminurcomputer Oct 02 '24

Aaaanndd your whole country is now owned by that country that hates you because your guy had a weak ankle in the first round.

2

u/issomewhatrelevant Oct 02 '24

I want a Black Panther leader imitation ceremony in real life. WAKANDA FOREVER.

2

u/Keanugrieves16 Oct 02 '24

Been saying it for years.

2

u/magic6op Oct 02 '24

Imagine this as our future leader 🥲

2

u/Donkey__Balls Oct 02 '24

Oh come on…can’t we just get beyond Thunderdome?

2

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '24

Putinator vs Kim Jongernaught

2

u/Cheekie169 Oct 02 '24

I mean....could we do more robot wars style....where nooses even guaranteed to leave?

2

u/captain_douch Oct 02 '24

President Kamacho will reign the world…..

2

u/EducationalUnit9614 Oct 02 '24

Bust a deal, face the wheel!

2

u/sid_not_vicious Oct 02 '24

no no then we would just be led by the biggest dude in the room. rather have some6thing else than muscles decide the elections but for these situations maybe

2

u/ralfvi Oct 02 '24

If only the massess have brainpower. Wars almost always is about the ruling class making their mark and expanding their ruled over new territory. And currently the western pack has no real contender to stop their onslaught. Btw war in the m.e has started long before this and this is 2/3 nearing its final chapters. I seriously dont think iran or any group has enough capability to stop them. Its not really israels war but western European war in the M.E.

1

u/Scared_Cricket3265 Oct 03 '24

Someone call Tina Turner!

1

u/uplandsrep Oct 03 '24

and when the leader who wins steps out, he gets to walk a regular citizen, you did your duty, bye bye.

248

u/guttengroot Oct 01 '24

WHY DO THEY ALWAYS SEND THE POOR

37

u/ThatStereotype18 Oct 02 '24

Politicians hide themselves away, they only started the war. Why should they go out to fight? They leave that all to the poor.

3

u/IAMAPrisoneroftheSun Oct 02 '24

‘Why don’t the presidents fight the war, why do the they always send the poor?’

1

u/taconugget69 Oct 02 '24

Literally What I was about to say.

177

u/cleekchapper92 Oct 01 '24

I've been watching medieval movies lately and wonder why our president's don't go to war anymore. To see biden or trump out in Afghanistan w an lmg would be a sight

47

u/Scavenger53 Oct 01 '24

the combat footage would be kinda boring, just a couple of old dudes trying to walk in some sand to punch each other, but not very hard since they old as hell

19

u/perplexedparallax Oct 01 '24

UFC cage match

4

u/AgentChris101 Oct 01 '24

It would make sure leadership stays young

4

u/mightylordredbeard Oct 01 '24

Or make sure leaders don’t start shit.

3

u/tennisanybody Oct 01 '24

Can I select The Hound as my champion? You pick The Mountain.

2

u/Scavenger53 Oct 01 '24

i think if we use champions that will slide back into the old problem of using the poor to fight for the politicians. let the old politicians fight

2

u/MechaAristotle Oct 01 '24

Basically how the fight in The Infinite and the Divine goes down lol.

1

u/lachieshocker Oct 02 '24

That's just the end of Metal Gear Solid 4

1

u/-watchman- Oct 02 '24

They could do a Mexican Standoff..

1

u/Rugkrabber Oct 02 '24

I mean if this leaves the rest of us out of it, I’d watch that.

4

u/BatterEarl Oct 02 '24

wonder why our president's don't go to war anymore.

Washington was the first and last POTUS to lead troops; this was during the whisky rebellion.

2

u/Rinzack Oct 02 '24

Bullets are deadly at really, really long ranges. Before you could sit your King/Emperor/etc on a hill overlooking the battle, then along came gunpowder and now "top of the hill" is well within range for a lethal shot

2

u/mugendee Oct 02 '24

Think of it this way. With today's technology, Israel is able to take out the Hamas leader with a precision hit right in his bunker. Now imagine how easy it is to do the same if he were to go to the battle front?

In simple terms, the medieval wars or bows and arrows and catapulted stones is very different than today's. A leader wouldn't survive 1 hour at the battle front IMHO.

Then also, today's leaders are mostly civilians with zero military training. In medieval times, leadership was hereditary. So future kings started military training at 10 years, if not younger. Today's civilian leaders would end up being more of a liability to the army than an inspiration. They're better off left at home to spin stories of conquest and lead the information war than the real war.

1

u/Bender_2024 Oct 01 '24

Next thing you know you have UFC fighters as your candidates running on the platform of acquiring neighboring nations.

Better than sending kids to war for reasons they don't like it even understand but still problematic.

1

u/tallandlankyagain Oct 01 '24

Full battle rattle? I guess it comes down to who collapses first.

1

u/varitok Oct 02 '24

Did you watch the part of those movies where the kings often die to arrows?

1

u/cleekchapper92 Oct 02 '24

Yes, yes I did

1

u/evrestcoleghost Oct 02 '24

Because it wouldnt make any tactical or strategic sense

1

u/UncookedNoodles Oct 02 '24

President's what?

60

u/TheAngryXennial Oct 01 '24

this right here these cowards start the wars and poor people that sign up for the military to try and have a ok life get sent to take bullets for the rich and powerful wars

14

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '24

Every Israeli citizen, man or woman, is required to spend years in the military exercising their genocidal agenda. I've had fully American classmates willingly go to Israel for the first time just so they could be in the IDF. That is not a normal country, with normal civilians.

Dammit clippy!!

2

u/Iamatworkgoaway Oct 01 '24

This is the new world, we send our young men and women now. Get with the times.

12

u/Lateralus06 Oct 01 '24

Why don't presidents fight the war?

Why do they always send the poor?

56

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '24

Don’t forget the religious leaders. Let’s see who’s fake god actually smites their opponent and proves who “deserves” to be there

2

u/pistoffcynic Oct 01 '24

The best comic I ever saw was in Mad Magazine where this same thing was being discussed in the papers. Mad’s solution showed Nixon and Brezhnev getting ready to duke it out.

3

u/bakerbabe126 Oct 01 '24

Civilians being pawns is so medieval. I hate that children are paying for this stupid crap

4

u/itsmejohnnyp Oct 01 '24

India and China have a rule they established in 1996. In All border disputes between the two countries, you are not allowed to used weapons and bombs. Pretty decent treaty

2

u/Tame-Emu-9845 Oct 01 '24

This comment needs to be upvoted sounds like their leaders had actual dialogue to agree to disagree while not mass bombing each other's people. Real leadership

17

u/New_Sage_ForgeWorks Oct 01 '24

Best advice ever!

5

u/DukeOfGeek Oct 01 '24

Both the Iranian power structure and Netanyahu benefit politically from this escalation so it's likely to continue.

3

u/DungBeetle007 Oct 01 '24

the people and their stupidity is the reason for this war. leaders on both sides fear their own populations and have long avoided any compromise in favour of peace, lest they are treated as traitors by their people

2

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '24

YES.

2

u/M7orch3 Oct 01 '24

“When the rich wage war it’s the poor that die”

2

u/c1496011 Oct 01 '24

... and everyone would have bad rulers as the most violent bastards available would have the position.

2

u/Poodlesghost Oct 01 '24

We can make this happen if we join together. They know that and that's why they constantly try to distract us with infighting.

2

u/Eagles_fan96 Oct 01 '24

Right? They're the ones having beef, not innocent civilians trying to get by. Tired of old men in suits deciding wars.

2

u/EyEShiTGoaTs Oct 01 '24

Why don't presidents fight the war? Why do they always send the poor?

2

u/ClearDark19 Oct 01 '24

Politicians, rulers, and corporations/billionaires: Best I can do is send 16-38 year olds to go fight and die for me.

2

u/LiveLifeLikeCre Oct 01 '24

Politifights. This is the way.

2

u/anna_lynn_fection Oct 01 '24

But then you'd end up with real idiocracy, because the people would be electing the best fighters.

2

u/SpecialPotion Oct 02 '24

the israelis will reap what they sow. the US will never put troops on the ground for them.

they were told by the world to stop. they didn't, now they will suffer.

2

u/springleme1 Oct 02 '24

Or require that their children serve in their wars. E.g. netanyahu’s son living it up in Florida and making podcasts

1

u/Sophie_MacGovern Oct 01 '24

They could do it in giant mechs like in Robot Jox.

1

u/HavanaSyndrome_ Oct 01 '24

Well, we're along for the ride unless we stop them.

1

u/Rare-Kaleidoscope513 Oct 01 '24

the implication here being Israelies are innocent, and the concept of "innocent occupiers" is an interesting one.

1

u/ThePhantomPansy Oct 01 '24

Make politicians and rulers fight each other. Leave the rest of us out of it

Wasn't that how they ended the war in that Costner film "The Postman"

1

u/RedditIsShittay Oct 01 '24

It's good to want things I guess.

1

u/randomlettercombinat Oct 01 '24

The issue with this is Putin would do very well. Probably better than he is doing (unless, like many think, he is secretly ruling the world) right now.

1

u/KingJacoPax Oct 01 '24

Sad thing is, and I can tell you this from experience, many of the silly bastards in this region are all for it.

1

u/JariJorma Oct 01 '24

Agreed 1000%

1

u/FuckReddit5548866 Oct 01 '24

Wish it was only them, but they are deep underground in bunkers.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '24

Difficult in this case as Netanyahu scurried into his hidey hole as soon as he could

1

u/kazunos Oct 01 '24

HUNGER GAMES STYLE THE WINNER GETS TO PLAY IN NEXT YEARS HUNGER GAMES

1

u/FCKABRNLSUTN2 Oct 01 '24

i dont like this scenario either because it eventually leads to something like president jon "bones" jones, not exactly the leader type.

1

u/migukin Oct 01 '24

Wish granted!

Kim Jong Un declares a conquest war on America. The leaders fight. Kim jumps on Biden and sits on him til he taps. We are now the Diplomatic United People's States of Korean Republic America. You would accept that outcome right?

1

u/oakc510 Oct 01 '24

The U.S. will send President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Camacho to combat.

1

u/from_dust Oct 01 '24

This war has ethnic and religious roots that stretch back several millennia. This is about far more than lines on maps and political theater. This war will not end in our lifetimes.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '24

They hit military installations. See Israel builds military infrastructure within the civilian.

1

u/Bryanh100 Oct 01 '24

What about the supporters?

1

u/bambooDickPierce Oct 01 '24

Always a "rich man's war, poor man's fight"

1

u/DaHappyCyclops Oct 01 '24

Vote for this guy...

1

u/Errant_coursir Oct 01 '24

If the ones who give these orders could just fight each other instead of taking it out on innocent civilians then the world would know peace

1

u/stubundy Oct 02 '24

Almost every war has major American influence behind the scenes.

1

u/NinjaQuatro Oct 02 '24

Make the final round of elections be determined by a death match. It solves the issue of Old politicians who have been in power for decades

1

u/Universespitoon Oct 02 '24

When two tribes go to war, go to war, yeeeah!

1

u/Morberis Oct 02 '24

I could get behind that except it seems the people on both sides are crazy for blood.

1

u/mywifemademedothis2 Oct 02 '24

Bring back celebrity death match, but real this time.

1

u/Capt_Pickhard Oct 02 '24

Politicians and world leaders are only capable of doing what they're doing because people support them.

Not all the people, but significant numbers of people.

1

u/xialcoalt Oct 02 '24

So you're giving an advantage to the Prime Minister of Israel who was a special forces operator.

1

u/ChicNoir Oct 02 '24 edited Oct 02 '24

Let them fight in a cage MMA style. I don’t want WW3

1

u/TillyWinky Oct 02 '24

Then make the loser politician fck a pig like in the first episode of Black Mirror. Just so they wont fck with us peasants.

1

u/Ok_Detail_1 Oct 02 '24

If leaders lose a fight no one wanted than every man abd maybe woman from these countries will insist on war (Palestine and Israel). Both peoples insist (by voting on ruling parties) on fully sovereign territory and independence on same amount of territory... so how? Another Hungary-Croatian State [Union State of Israel and Palestine]?

1

u/littleski5 Oct 02 '24

I mean unlike the US Israelis have a massive amount of support for and participation in their government's activities. If Netanyahu died tomorrow little would fundamentally change.

1

u/Olivia_Richards Oct 03 '24

Bad idea, Putin would curbstomp everyone.

1

u/girthyblackguy Oct 03 '24

I’ve been saying this for years

1

u/ahp42 Oct 01 '24

WWII decided by Hitler vs FDR in a cage match! Oh... oh no. I mean, Hitler doesn't look all that strong, but FDR is literally in a wheel chair...

Sorry Europe, can't help ya over there. We must respect the rules of the cage match result.

I'm obviously being a bit facetious here, and you may be being facetious to some degree as well, but oftentimes "the rest of us" have a real stake in the fight as well (without me commenting on who has a more valid/moral/just stake in this particular fight).

2

u/TwiceTheSize_YT Oct 01 '24

Why would fdr have anything to do with it, the us only joined after pearl harbor. It would stalin vs hitler or churchill or someone that actually mattered.

1

u/Lollytrolly018 Oct 02 '24

Uh huh... and how do you propose we make that happen?

0

u/EKcore Oct 01 '24

But most Israelis are just as war mongering as their leaders. Even the kids.

0

u/JaKobeWalter Oct 01 '24

Israel has murdered 20,000 children in Gaza, dropping bombs on UN schools and refugee camps. Is that leaving them out of it?

-1

u/Waltekin Oct 01 '24

Note that Israel has been doing it right: going after the leaders. That's got to have other leaders worried - hence the current attack.

Iran may soon need new leaders itself.

1

u/IndebtedKindness Oct 01 '24 edited Oct 01 '24

Were they "going after the leaders" when the IDF beheaded babies?

0

u/yayayamur Oct 02 '24

not possible when so many people voluntarily enlist in army for whatever reason

0

u/IAMAPrisoneroftheSun Oct 02 '24

Money on Bibi pls

-1

u/kingwhocares Oct 01 '24

In case of Israel, it's whole of it. It's not a few bad apples.

4

u/TheThotWeasel Oct 01 '24

Bros casually calling for genocide while denouncing a country doing it. Kinda proves that if the shoe was on the other foot we'd be seeing a genocide either way. Tiresome shit.

0

u/kingwhocares Oct 01 '24

Who's calling for genocide?

1

u/sjr323 Oct 02 '24

You

1

u/kingwhocares Oct 02 '24

Which part? Why don't you say it?
