I thought Israel missile defense shot everything down?

Depends. Iron dome tracks and estimates the site of impact. It won't intercept missiles that will be impacting in empty places like water or the desert.

This helps preserve missiles for things that will actually hitnlnreal targets and of course enough missiles could still overwhelm it.

Are you saying these ballistic missiles only hit the water or desert?

He's saying it's likely these missiles hit low density areas like that. It's also possible these missiles overwhelmed the defense and got through. We'll know once casualty figures are released.

I don’t think he knows they used ballistic missiles. Seen reports of sonic and manoeuvre missiles as well. 80% of missiles reached its target according to twitter.

Considered only one person has been reported injured from this attack: yes, that is extremely likely.
