Hey all, if you're struggling with emotional regulation after loss like I was, I thoroughly recommend trying DBT. It utilises some CBT techniques but enables you to contextualise your emotions in the context of previous trauma (the whole mc process is an insane trauma for me) and current anxieties. I found an 8 week course and it's so far been incredibly helpful, above and beyond the counselling work I've received.

Self care during pregnancy means allowing yourself to feel excited about your pregnancy and living in the moment. It's okay to feel nervous or anxious occasionally but constantly, and depriving yourself of the joy of this very special time when it's just you and your baby is a shame and an experience you can't take back. I've also learned being anxious and thinking about things that can go wrong doesn't actually help me cope when things do go wrong. So why do it? Know the signs of things going wrong to help you seek help at the right time, and leave it at that!
